I talk, it types.

I have used Wispr Flow for a year. I speak, and it writes clean text in any app: messages, notes, emails.

Watch the first clip, sound on. I say Thursday, then correct myself to Friday, and it keeps only Friday. I name three steps out loud, and it turns them into a numbered list.

On a phone, most people type about 36 words a minute. Speaking, you say 120 without trying, and I dictate at 151: about four times faster. I also have big thumbs, so typing on a phone is a pain for me anyway.

It does much more: it works in over 100 languages and learns the names I use. The second picture shows my own numbers in the app: almost two million words dictated.

Six years in Bali, and I would choose it again.

If you are thinking about living abroad, here is what keeps me here.

My day starts with sport, while Switzerland is still asleep. Then a good coffee: the café culture here is real. The people are incredibly kind.

The ocean is part of everyday life, and it is the reason I moved to Indonesia: water sports, diving, freediving, surfing. And not only that: padel, tennis, the gym, and depending on the period running, yoga, hiking.

There are also so many entrepreneurs and businesspeople around, so the conversations are good too.

I feel really good here, and I am very happy to have found this place.

I run a Swiss agency 100% remote. It's not magic

I've worked from Bali (every year since 2019), Cape Town (2023, 2024, 2026), Switzerland, a desert island in the Mentawai (2021, 2022)... and a lot of airports and planes

Being a digital nomad has always been in my veins. But freedom doesn't run a company by itself

What makes remote hard isn't the place. It's 3 things:

1. Tooling. My computer is my life. Gmail, Google Workspace, CRMs, and even my calls: from South Africa you can't call Switzerland from your phone all day. If you're not at ease with a computer, don't do this

2. Discipline. It's not a holiday, even in Bali. Early to bed, early up, drinks only on weekends

3. Being happy alone. Your friends are often far away, so you have to enjoy your own company

My #1 tip: always carry a phone with 4G. The Wi-Fi drops, you turn on the hotspot, the laptop is back online and your video call keeps going 📶

My fridge got stocked by an AI agent.

I text my assistant on WhatsApp like a person. It texts the shops, compares prices, pays within a small budget and follows the delivery. My part yesterday: one request with a budget, one "ok".

The best part is not the cans. It learns from every mistake: the driver could not find my door, so now every order goes out with a photo of it.
