Saturday, June 6, 2026 will go down as a day I will never forget.

What the @emerging100htx built in that room at Le Grand Lieu wasn’t just a gala. It was a testament to what happens when purpose meets preparation, and community shows up for itself.

To every sponsor who believed in our vision before they saw it fully formed…thank you! To every honoree who wore demonstrated their excellence…you deserved every moment of that spotlight.

A special thank you to @sirdavis for serving as our premier spirits partner for the evening. We are truly fortunate for this partnership and excited for everything ahead. 🥃

And at the end of the day, our goal is to impact and enrich the lives our mentees that range from high school to college. none of this is about the chandeliers or the cocktail hour. It’s about the young man from the Third Ward who finally feels seen. It’s about the young woman walking across a stage at TSU, Prairie View, or UH…we see you!

That’s why we do this. That’s why we show up. That’s why Emerging 100 Houston exists.

Legacy isn’t built in a moment. However, a moment can always reminds you what you’re building toward. Excellence.

I had the honor of hosting Panel #2 for @afro.tech + @blackbookhouston — and 😳… there were moments that left me speechless. 😮😂

The crowd was laughing at my reactions because I couldn’t hide it — I was in pure awe watching these influential creators, executives, and emerging entrepreneurs reveal highly creative solutions + real inventions that are shaping what’s next.

I loved every second of it. And in the spirit of Black History Month, I’m celebrating this reminder: Black brilliance is not just history… it’s happening RIGHT NOW. ✊🏾🔥

On Tuesday, I had the honor of speaking with the incredible young leaders of the Collegiate 100 of Prairie View A&M University – Economic Empowerment Committee (@100onthehill) about networking etiquette in professional spaces. Thank you for the invitation, the engagement, and for truly leaning in. What we discussed wasn’t just etiquette—because etiquette isn’t about being fake, shrinking yourself, or performing. It’s about being strategic. Your God-given, unique DNA personality is already enough—wisdom is knowing how to match the room and then elevate it slightly higher. That’s leadership.

We talked about first impressions, professional presence, dressing with intention, and navigating social spaces—but underneath it all was one core truth: your presence is a form of human capital currency. How you show up determines access. How you communicate determines opportunity. How you carry yourself determines influence. You don’t need to become someone else—you need to refine who you already are with intention. To every student in that room: own your presence, communicate with impact, and elevate the culture wherever you stand. Grateful to serve and pour into the next generation rising.
