A little tribute to my time in theatre.

Looking back, I don’t think I was aware of the impact theatre would have on my life. Not just the lessons I learned but the friends I made. Seven years and ten shows is a lot, and I’m grateful for each moment. I’m grateful for the amazing people I got to spend time with every day, people who supported me, challenged me, and helped me grow, while making countless memories doing what we love. I’m also thankful to my family, especially my sister, for encouraging me to do theatre and for always being a theatre nerd with me. It’s something I would never trade anything in the world for. I’ve enjoyed growing into my character every year and getting to learn something new in each of those experiences. Whether it was doing a British accent or learning how to dance a little, I found so much joy in being able to get better every day.

And while the show eventually ends, the impact of those experiences doesn’t. Theatre has shaped who I am, and it’s something I’ll carry with me always. Thank you MVC Theatre, for all these years, for the friends I made, for the lessons I learned, and for helping me become the person I am.
