I’m Getting Something On You @igsoyfilm set sneak peak.

I have absolutely loved this film so much.
Set in the 1980s and a horror was the dream film to work on and it became a reality.

The crew was super lovely and we all worked well together, and it was nice to see people from my university course that I hadn’t seen in a while.

Can’t wait to see the finished product !

Art Department at its peak.

For the film @igsoyfilm there was a LOT of on set smoking (I don't envy the actress).

To make the ash tray look realistic I needed to burn down the rest of the cigarettes and I absolutely stank of them afterwards 😭

But the shot looks great ❤

My first SketchUp interior design.

Usually I design purely with perspective drawings. This is very useful for when I am working on a film as you wouldn’t be seeing the entire space. However, when designing interior spaces, it is hard to get a grasp of how the entire room feels as a whole.

I decided to give SketchUp a good go, designing a cafe purely in my style. I chose orange as my stand out colour and used different shades and textures to differentiate areas.

I incorporated a line to direct customers in the direction of seating and the bar.
The bar is the main area of a cafe, it’s where you can interact with the staff and browse the options. I chose to leave space between the doorway and the bar, this allows the bar to be the focal point when entering.

Excited to learn more about 3D software.

Korean Nature.

The most beautiful thing about the world is nature. I absolutely adore a landscape.

I ended up climbing to the very top of a mountain in Geoje. I'd never felt as at peace.

Even though I went to Korea because my best friend lives there, exploring another country alone was so freeing.

Already wanting to book a full solo trip ❤️

Buildings of Korea.

The thing I loved most about this trip was seeing how even though a place can be taken over by modernisation, it still can have all of its traditional routes.

Gamcheon the culture village of Busan was my favourite place that I visited. It was once a hilltop slum housing refugees from the war, now transformed into an artistic community full of craft shops and art installations.

I think it is important as a designer to visit or research, seeking inspiration from places like Gamcheon.

Can't wait to explore more of the world and use it in my designs ❤️

Last year I had the opportunity to visit Barcelona, home to most of Gaudis creations.

I of course took lots of pictures using my phone, but there’s nothing quite as raw as capturing the brilliant architecture on film. It is a reminder that I was actually there when I took the photo.

Unfortunately with film comes the possibility of losing images, which did happen here. Using my dad’s very old half broken camera only 2 pictures survived. But that doesn’t make them less cool.

Visiting this place and purchasing a book about his work, has inspired me and taught me more about the world of design, which I would love to incorporate in my future work.

There is something so enriching about exploring the world and finding inspiration yourself.

Usually Pinterest is my best friend when it comes to designing. However, the rise in AI imagery is worrying and is becoming difficult to avoid.

Items like these lights were designed and created by us not a computer, it should stay that way.

It was great to get my friends together again and make a little film. I enjoyed learning to direct and picking up my camera skills again.
