“Can you make it look natural?”

It’s a phrase I hear all the time, but natural makeup isn’t about wearing no makeup at all. It’s about creating balance, enhancing your features, and making skin look like skin.

Hi I’m Charmaine,

Makeup artist, Mum and Mecca Colour Specialist!

I’ve always had a passion for beauty but what lights me up most is helping women feel calm and confident through makeup.

Based in Sorrento and servicing the Mornington Peninsula for over 7 years my heart lies in Weddings.

When you book me for your special day you get more than just pretty makeup. I provide an experience and will be there for you every step of the way.

I like to describe my style as natural luxe. Enhancing your features in a way that you still feel comfortable and look like yourself only elevated.

When I don’t have a makeup brush in my hand you will find me down the beach or sipping on an almond latte.

I can’t wait to meet you and learn more about your wedding. To get in touch head to my link in bio and fill out my bridal booking form!

Sunshine, a cheeky vodka red bull, a room full of @we.rise.networking business baddies and Bek from @studio.jagger teaching us all things content.

I left feeling inspired, with fresh ideas and a few new tricks up my sleeve. I may even post some of that content that’s been sitting in my camera roll for months!

Always a reminder that there’s so much value in getting out of your comfort zone, learning from others and backing yourself as a small business owner.

Kiehl’s said “KEEP THE CHEEKS”… so naturally, I needed to know more. 💗

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learnt since starting my business is that knowing what you charge is very different from understanding what you’re actually making.

As a makeup artist there are so many costs and hours that happen behind the scenes. There’s products, travel, education, admin and everything in between.

Learning to pay more attention to my numbers has changed the way I think about my time, my pricing and the decisions I make in my business.

I’m still learning, but I’m definitely more confident understanding the financial side of my business and I think that’s something so many small business owners can relate to.

From an early morning drive and getting the girls wedding-ready to ending up at this stunning Sorrento mansion.

Like… can someone actually get married here because I’m obsessed! by @charmainelolamakeup

There’s just something so special about beach weddings. The relaxed atmosphere, the ocean backdrop, and seeing couples so excited for their big day is exactly why I love being part of weddings at @allsmilesamazingvenues Sorrento.

It was such a lovely afternoon at the Open Day meeting so many beautiful couples, catching up with some incredible local vendors, and creating this look on my gorgeous model @bekshanks.

A little extra thank you to @thecommonfolkcollective for the beautiful candles that made my display feel so cosy.

If we didn’t get the chance to chat at the Open Day, I’d love to hear from you! Send me a DM and I’ll happily send through my bridal makeup packages and pricing. I can’t wait to be part of your special day.

P.S. @naomi_baxter__events you absolutely nailed it! Thanks for organising such a fun intimate event and bringing together some incredible local wedding vendors.

- The art of the face -

Such a fun afternoon with @lorealistar_official learning what’s actually working on social from the @meta team while playing with makeup, sipping cocktails and talking all things beauty.

It was so inspiring watching @makeupbyalessandra_ share exactly how she creates her beauty content! From filming techniques to the little details that make her videos perform.

So many tips I’ll definitely be putting into practice!
Safe to say my camera roll (and notes app) are very full. by @charmainelolamakeup
