I’m an old soul. I love old homes. I love anything weathered and tattered. Heck, I just put a seemingly dilapidated picket fence in my front yard! It’s weathered, rotting in spots, but I love it. I was the one with the big idea to buy a one-bedroom house and make it our forever home. Bless my husband for going along with all my wild-brained ideas. It took major sweat equity. My husband worked his butt off to get us in it. Now we have our little cottage overlooking Plum Creek with enough land to cultivate more dreams.

I love doing pretty much anything creative. I am always starting a new hobby, then moving on to the next. I’m not sure if I ever really master anything. I just love to stay busy.

I love motherhood. It’s hard. It’s messy. It’s sanctifying. I’m the type that loves to share and hear birth stories, but I never truly love the act of giving birth. It’s freaking hard.

I want to capture motherhood authentically; the messy moments, the love, the growth. I want to breathe life into authentic motherhood. Motherhood races past us, and if we never slow down to capture those memories, then who will tell our story? by @charmainephotography

June was filled with so many sweet memories. Our first June in our new house blessed us with a full harvest of raspberries. My plan to make jam was highjacked by two raspberry loving boys, but their joy in this season was so worth it. by @charmainephotography

A few weeks ago @chelseynoellephotography visited and we had the most precious time creating beautiful memories. Our kids were wild and free, which is exactly how it is supposed to be. 🥹🌼

These sweet photos were taken on my property, which is currently full of clover and fleabane. Then in fall golden rod will be blooming. I am taking very limited sessions so reach out if you are interested in a wildflower sessions! Each opportunity to simply capture these moments that will hopefully be passed down for generations does not go unnoticed by me. Thinking of the future and reminiscing on times gone by makes my heart sore.

Film photography offers a timeless and tangible memory that could last for generations to come. It feels real to me, it simply breathes authenticity. I appreciate the lack of control and the slowed down process of shooting and waiting for the development process to be complete.
