⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ARC Review: Thank you to the author (@gretakkelly), publisher (@entangled_publishing), and NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy of this book. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

this book had me hooked from beginning to end! Mysteries and thrillers aren't usually my go-to, but the perfect mix of suspense, witty banter, family secrets, and girl power completely won me over.

The unique voices of the Calloway women truly made this story special. I loved going through this journey with them as they navigated family secrets, unexpected twists, and learned to lean on one another.

The mystery kept me turning pages, but the witty, hilarious dialogue and incredible female characters were what really made this book stand out. This was my first Greta Kelly book, but it definitely won't be my last! I'd read anything she writes!

book review 📚📚

having never read an anthology book before, I was so excited to get my hands on this and it completely exceeded my expectations!

This collection was an absolute joy to read from start to finish. I loved the variety of characters and tropes (small towns, cozy family dynamics, and second-chance romances are my favorites), and reading a story each day felt like a true Christmas getaway. Each author brought such a distinct voice to the collection while keeping the festive vibe so seamless.

While every story brought something special, A Solstice Kiss absolutely stole the show. Five stars simply isn't enough for this one! It’s officially earned a permanent spot on my shelf as an ultimate comfort read that I’ll be reaching for whenever I need a cozy pick-me-up on hard days.

If you're looking for a heartwarming holiday escape full of festive second-chance love stories and holiday cheer, you need to add this to your TBR immediately!

thank you so much to netgalley for sending me a copy of this for a fair review.

📚 review! I know I've talked so much about this book but I had to do a standalone post for it!

this was so incredibly cozy, i read it so fast!

i loved meeting via and leo, the latter of which it was naturally difficult for me to appreciate at first! but via, she's such a comfort character for me now. she has worked incredibly hard to overcome her trauma of her past relationship and build a life for herself in the small town of pecan corner, ohio. it was so easy for me to relate to her and her love of cats (of course!) and the fact that no matter what, she stands up for what she believes in.

i love witnessing via and leo grow so much closer through earl (who was so enjoyable learning about! he seemed kind, simple, much like the people in my small town who i admire) kathleen did an impeccable job of bringing this story together perfectly and it was the best start to my autumn reading!

review! 📚 3.5/5

Grayson has convinced himself that he's happy with a half-lived life in Ireland where he arrived to after his parents' untimely death as a child. Lucy has created her own happiness tucked away into a bookshop owned by Grayson's grandfather, but when the latter becomes injured after a fall, Grayson travels home to heal old wounds and help run the bookshop that Lucy has worked hard to create something of her life with.

Off the rip, Lucy and Grayson loathe each other. Lucy believes that Grayson abandoned Charles in his time of need, after his wifes passing, and Grayson sees Lucy as a barrier from allowing him to get closer to his grandfather, salvaging a severed relationship with one of his last living family members.

Through witchy shenanigans, which I found entirely adorable, and lighthearted pranks, our main characters dance around each other trying to find balance in their own chaos and loneliness. Lucy's book magic, her knack for baked goods, the small town charm and being introduced to other characters in the town that make the place so special, all of these things were highlights to our story and helped to shape it into a perfectly cozy autumn tale of found family.

I agree with other reviews here that there was a lot of miscommunication, however I didn't really find it excessive. I think both of our main characters have spent a lot of time trying to find companionship in people and things, and this has caused them to become mistrusting and cautious whenever it comes to relationships. That's evident in the way that they convince themselves repeatedly that their paranoia was correct; that they would always be alone and never chosen. I think a lot of people can relate to this feeling and the fear that comes with trusting. Expressing this was done well, in my opinion, and the author clearly knows a lot about finding magic and hope in things that are easier to trust than human beings.

📚📚📚 ✍🏻book review//

so sad to finish this book because it was so amazing!

"Magic was a living thing, and like all living things, it responded to kindness."

the character of mika moon will always have a special place in my heart and, like everyone else, I just loved the grumpy/sunshine dynamic.

I also loved magic being this tangible thing that demands attention, it creates such a whimsical and enchanting environment throughout the book.

also, so many of these characters had flaws, traumas, inconsistencies but they are so incredibly lovable. everyone at nowhere house were charming and each so different but with shared love for family, kindness, compassion and unity.

overall, great cozy vibes for autumn and even well into winter months. the author does a wonderful job of making us feel empathy for every person in this story!

my first Freida book but certainly won't be my last! I absolutely zoomed through this. the historical fiction angle was so intriguing and I've honestly never read a better multiple POV book!

just witchy enough, at times heartbreaking, and always a page turner.
