Supporting a network of schools’ technology means being trusted with a lot more than laptops and Wi-Fi. It’s making sure their students’ school day runs smoothly, teachers can make the most of their time, and all the little moments that depend on technology go off without any glitches.

That trust is at the heart of our partnership with @ics_nyc. We took on IT for their network in phases, so every school stayed up and running while we got to know their people, their buildings and the way they work.

We sat down with Sean Harrell, Chief Executive Officer of Integration Charter Schools, who shared how CTS has become a true partner, part of the day-to-day life of his schools and focused on what students and teachers need to succeed. 🎥

Meet Tony, a Project Engineer at CTS, who will celebrate his 5th anniversary this December!

Tony’s been hooked on technology ever since he was a kid. His favorite part of the job is watching all the planning and scheduling come together into a finished install.

His biggest pet peeve? Access points thrown up without a wireless survey first. Tony’s advice: “Please do a predictive; it’ll save you money in the end.”

Be sure to watch his picks in the lightning round and whether a trip to orbit is on Tony’s bucket list!

An enormous shout-out to Michael Funk, CTS’s September Employee of the Month!

Mike is a Field Services Engineer, and the list of things he quietly took on this summer is impressive. He reorganized an entire Chromebook fleet for one of our school clients, mostly on his own. He stood up Network Video Recorders from scratch. He made himself available after hours whenever an escalation needed a hand - just to name a few things.

More than any single project, it’s how Mike shows up. He stays with a problem until it’s fixed, and he makes the people around him better for it. Mike is a true pillar of our service delivery team - and a valuable teammate.

Every year, CTS says goodbye to summer with our End-of-Summer Team Celebration. This past Wednesday, we had so much fun at The Frying Pan Brooklyn! Great company, food, and drinks, plus giant Jenga, air hockey, a basketball shootout, and Pac-Man were just what we all needed!

Yesterday, CTS team members Laurance and Joseph joined @brilla_schools for their inaugural Golf Classic at Westchester Hills Golf Club. It was a beautiful day on the course in support of the Brilla Cardinal Ambassador Scholarship Fund (we managed to score a photo with a certain popular Cardinal).

Brilla operates 8 free, high-performing K-8 schools serving more than 2,000 students across The Bronx. The scholarship fund exists for a specific reason: as financial aid narrows and need grows, students who’ve earned a seat at a rigorous high school shouldn’t lose it to a tuition gap.

Congratulations to the entire Brilla team on a fantastic and successful inaugural event! CTS is so proud to support you!

Today is National IT Professionals Day, and at CTS that isn’t specific to one department.

The work isn’t really about technology. It’s about the person on the other end of it - the one whose WiFi keeps dropping, the one who needs a file recovered, the teacher trying to get their digital whiteboard working before class starts. Getting that right takes patience and care from every part of this company.
