✨ Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself ✨

Hi, I’m Charlene—the owner of Charvaz Artistry! 🖤

I’ve been a professional Nail Technician and Makeup Artist for nearly 30 years, a Lash Artist for over 10. After many years working in salons, makeup counters, booth renting etc… I’ve been a salon owner now for more than seven years.

My specialties include hand-painted nail art, customized natural-looking lash extensions, bridal and special-occasion makeup, face painting, and special effects makeup. I also spent nearly 10 years teaching nails and now hold a NH Shop Instructor license, which allows me to apprentice future nail technicians—including our talented Maddy, who is now almost two years into her career!

For the past three years, I’ve also been growing my permanent cosmetics and fine-line tattoo career. I’m licensed as a Body Art Practitioner in Massachusetts and currently offer those services at @gem_beauty_pmu in Methuen.

At Charvaz Artistry, our goal is to provide a personal, one-on-one experience in a clean, comfortable, boutique-style salon offering nails, lashes, skincare, makeup, and more. Book an appointment today with myself or one of my wonderful team members!

You can find me in Plaistow Tuesday through Saturday and at Gem Beauty in Methuen every other Wednesday and on select dates.

Whether you’ve supported me for years or recently discovered my work, thank you for being here. I look forward to welcoming you into my chair! 🖤

These nails were done layer by layer by hand to make look multidimensional. I used isolated chrome for a cool 3D effect to really make the jewel effect come to life. To book this service just add “1 hour nail art” to your next appointment. Any questions or requests please send me a DM. Creating jeweled , stone or precious gem looks as well as multidimensional looks are some of my favorite nail arts to do so send me all your inspo! I can’t wait to create your next look! by @charvaz

Whats a Brow Lami?
A brow lamination is a semi-permanent beauty treatment that restructures your natural brow hairs, acting like a hair perm to keep them lifted, smooth, and uniformly brushed up. It creates a fuller, thicker, and more polished look that typically lasts between 4 to 8 weeks Tints will last approx 4-6 weeks.

This is my Level 1…. No filters etc… these are freshly done except the upper left “127” that’s healed a few days so far. These are the first 5 tattoos I have completed after my training with Janelle of @high.vibe.ink . I’m pretty comfortable drawing on people haha so I’m looking to get you booked for a fine line / tiny tat. Swipe left for some ideas and flash id like to do. Some of the flash got cut off so if there’s a sheet you want to see better DM me & ill send to you. If you have your own vision also send my way! I’m excited to start offering this immediately to my clients. I will still be slingin brows & lips & even nails, lashes in my other location so don’t worry haha I’m just well rounding myself creatively. DM me to book as this isn’t officially on my menu yet.
Facts - Training for any PMU or Fine Line/ Tattooing is not cheap. Equipment & Supplies are not cheap. My time training, shadowing and practicing is also very valuable. Therefore there is a model fee and we can discuss this when we book you. I am taking only 35 clients at special pricing, after those clients cost will go up. Please do not expect “free” or “cheap” work from me. 😁

Let’s talk about Utah 🌄
My husband came a long with me on this adventure to Utah to take a class on Fine Line/Tiny Tats by Janelle at @high.vibe.ink ….. the pictures will never do Utah justice but I can show you a glimpse of our time there. We can’t wait to visit again 🗻
I had 3 days of class and I was already practicing on some pig skin by the first day, definitely interesting…. Kinda gross but kinda awesome haha we started with a skull and the skull led into me practicing the mountain scape I had asked Janelle if she’d have time to do on my arm to remember this amazing trip by. Watching her do that tattoo on my arm was a great learning visual reference for me. Plans were then for me to practice this same design on the pig skin to then do the matching one on my husband day 3 of class….

•On day 2 of class Janelle had a model for me that had lots of beautiful fine line work in different locations by previous students and Janelle. We decided to do two new floating floral add ons in different parts of the the floral tat on this clients leg. We were all so happy with how they turned out!

•Day 3 was the day! We started with the mountain scape on my husband and although it may look simple and easy it was not an easy tat. Janelle having pure confidence in me then led us to attempt my husbands “Group A” firefighter patch which was super intimidating but with Janelle guiding me through it it came out great.

•Janelle’s class I would highly recommend and I’m really eager to get moving more with this fine line/tiny tat journey and start offering to my clients. Perfecting this fine line work I know will help me perfect other areas of my pmu skills as well and I’m excited for this journey. Taking this class & learning this skill just really fed my creative side in a way I expected and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here so stay tuned!

I’m obsessed with these before & Afters! They mean even more because of how special all these beautiful ladies are to me! I cannot thank them enough for coming all the way up to North Conway NH to be models for me to help me perfect this technique of “hybrid/nano brows” you’ll see that they all have different results/looks and that’s because brows are never a “one size fits all” type of thing. I will do my best to give you “your brows but better” with whatever technique fits you & your face best when we chat at your consult. (Danielle’s mantra that sticks closely in my brain haha)
Let’s do your brows! Message me for details! All brow services are done by me at @gem_beauty_pmu in Methuen MA. Consults can be booked at my shop in Plaistow at @charvazartistry prior if youd like as well.
Check these before & afters and follow my insta @charvaz_pmu for more!

HUGE thank you to @danielle.facestudios & her team at @f.a.c.e.studios for guidance, patience & expertise helping me on these hybrid & nano hairstroke brows (Sarah’s are full nano) I will always keep learning and growing! This part of my career challenges my artistic side so much which I love! 🥰❤️ seeing other artists at work is amazing too! I’m lucky to have so many talented ladies in my corner! Thank you! 🙏🏼
•P.S I also do Sarah’s nails & lashes 😉
