South Llano River State Park and Junction, TX

This is the most verdant valley I’ve seen in a few weeks now and the colors and humidity seemed somewhat foreign after my trek thru the deserts. Bugs are happy residents in the park—critters I hadn’t noticed out west. I got distracted at dusk talking to various wonderful retired folk and left my tent windows open and my lights on inside. Well, I had a version of bed bugs that night and all the biting and MOIST air made for little sleep.

Lesson: Talk to strangers, but make sure you lock your doors first.

Revisited a TTU satellite campus I haven’t seen since I was a freshman. No change, and according to the town locals, they like it that way. UT better be nice, because Tech sits on your water source!👆🔴⚫️
