This is almost as hard to post today as when I thought about doing it a year ago. But I lost my friend a year to the day.

I thought I'd teach her and train her but it was the complete opposite. She taught me everything I know about responsibility, commitment and unconditional love.

There is no way to describe the joy and happiness she brought into this world. She could shift a person's day just by her smile or presence. Even on her last day at the beach, when she had zero energy and was hurting, she got out of the car and went directly to someone who needed love. He had just lost his Golden and she could sense it and brought the biggest smile to his face and we saw his heart grow.

That is who she was and the way I will always remember her. There is so much more to say but I will always miss my best friend. RIP Lacee, you are the absolute best ❤️❤️❤️ taken in Cape Kiwanda Beach by @chasayrostrom

After 13+ plus years in the liquor industry, I am hanging up my hat. It's been an incredible journey where I not only grew professionally but also personally. I am so thankful for all of the people I have been able to meet, connect and work with over the years. You have no idea how much your partnership and friendship mean to me.

This industry is absolutely amazing and has allowed me to experience so many restaurants, bars and cities that you can't get in any other field.

More than any of that though, is the people. To everyone that I have worked with through the years, all I can say is thank you. I won't be able to list them all but you will always be in my heart.

A couple special shout outs... Thank yo to @mchubbard3 thank you for taking a chance on me, to my Davos work wife @msflutter_nic and all the convos, bitch sessions and fun, to @dwightsmokem for working with me all these years and becoming a close friend, to @thetober for teaching me the ways of Reel M Inn and warm gin shots, @garyspinelli and @b_helf for answering my calls questions and @theadrianmolina for being a boy from the Bronx and an all around ridiculous human.

Lastly, this industry introduced me to my @camrcav! You are so talented and I am in awe of you everyday. You care deeply for all people and are a beautiful soul. I'm excited for more life and adventures with you! by @chasayrostrom

If this photo doesn't sum up @camrcav and myself perfectly!
There was no one around to take a pic so Camille spent time perfectly stacking 3 pumpkins so we could set up the camera. She starts the timer and as she is walking towards me I say "what if you sat on my knee!?" and Camille starts to try but yells back "theres a pumpkin in the way!" I'm watching and counting down the timer 4...3... and the just bust up laughing as she is still trying to make it work.

Thank you for always being a good sport, laughing at my ridiculousness and just all around being an amazing person!

Also... You bet your ass there is pumpkin spice in that coffee 🎃☕ taken in Lee Farms by @chasayrostrom

Went out for date night with @camrcav last night to @gadogadopdx and man we were both blow away. Service was great, food was quick and the flavors were 👌. Very high recommendation, while everything was incredible the roti paratha is not to be missed. I would have it everyday taken in Gado Gado by @chasayrostrom

And just like that... I have a teenager! Lacee is turned 13 and I'm thankful for every day I have with her. She is such a beautiful soul and brings joy to everyone she meets. Happy Birthday Lacee! by @chasayrostrom

Maybe my best looking loaf yet! Super flaky and soft. Made extra dough and made pizzas with avocado pesto, lime chicken, red onion and arugula. by @chasayrostrom
