Overcoming a panic attack

#cinematic #shortfilm #film #panic #panicattack #mentalhealth #comedy

Panic attacks are a pretty spooky thing, but luckily we have each other to lean on in these types of situations. I have had a fair share of panic attacks and I find thinking about loved ones really helps calm me down. Even loved ones who we don’t even talk to anymore that once made us feel safe. Even loved ones who made our kids feels safe. You get the metaphor. Thanks for watching ❤️ taken in Toronto, Ontario by @chase.jeffels

Sometimes we get so caught up in our dreams, in what we wish we were doing, that we forget what we’re actually doing.

The most important thing is getting back into the present moment. Sometimes that means going for a walk, realizing how small you are, and calming yourself down. Once you’re there, you’re clear-headed. It’s easier to get into flow and just start doing the things you want to do.

So do yourself a favour. If you’re overthinking and neurotic like me, go for a walk in the woods. 🌲

Healthy breakup vs. Toxic breakup

#comedy #cinematic #breakup #relationships #toxic #healthyrelationships #shortfilm #love

A comedic short film I made with @lauramariemannion about how we can imagine the worst case scenario for a breakup. nobody wants a toxic break up, though they happen. But sometime it’s amicable and beautiful. Ending a relationship might be the best thing for it. If it was a healthy relationship there is a lot to be celebrated about it. If it was toxic, well congrats on ending it. taken in Toronto, Canada by @chase.jeffels

Overcoming writers block… or just making it meta?

#comedy #cinematic #writersblock #shortfilm #skit #fisheye #inspiration

I find it incredibly hard to come up with content for social media because I feel like I’m constantly changing what I really love to do on here. Feeling the pressure of niching down feels like it kills my creativity. Though I know that that is how Instagram works, I can’t help but complain. This is a little peek inside my mind about having writers block and trying to figure out how to use this app for my creativity while also fighting with the urge to want to make money off of it. One day I’ll figure it out. taken in Toronto, Canada by @chase.jeffels

Be the screen 📺

The person who made this analogy is a man named Rupert Spira. Highly recommend his book Being Aware of Being Aware. Talks about eastern philosophy in a really clear way. I find it really helps with anxiety and depression. I created this cinematic video to inspire folks to try out this way of thinking and see if it works for them.

How to spend Christmas alone 🎅🎄

#Christmas #holidays #shortfilms #cinematic #comedy #haha

Often times we forget that the Christmas or any holiday we celebrate this time of year is a hard one for some. Sometime we don’t want to be with our family, sometimes we don’t want to be happy or joyful. And I think that is totally okay. Be sad and miserable if you want. Just as long as you are taking care of yourself. Happy Holidays friends ❤️ taken in Toronto, Ontario by @chase.jeffels
