𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐂!!!!!What an incredible time we had Sunday at this benefit concert raising funds for CHOC hospital (now called @radychildrens_oc ) ! The show went beyond our expectations and the whole vibe was SKAwesome ! 🏁🤘🙌We sold more raffle tickets than at any other event we’ve hosted, the merch sales were flying, the drinks were flowing, the photo booth full of fun, and the dancing and good vibes were non-stop! Seeing all the little kids running around and dancing to music was such a (triggering) but beautiful moment because we know and relate to that SO much as it reminds us of how much our Carter loved dancing to live music! To the bands @sailorssongbook , @chaselongbeach , @oddrobotband , and @hoorayforourside we feel so loved and honored you would all play this event. Thank you to @radiantbeerco for providing the location and being such awesome hosts. It was such a “family” reunion for us at Rock for CHOC and what a great reason to bring everyone together. Carter continues to be the ultimate friend. 🥹That ending of the show with Evan from Hooray for Our Side holding up Carter’s picture. What an emotional and fitting tribute to our dear hero. “This planet founds its hero” 🥹🥹🥹🥹❤️❤️❤️❤️😭😭😭😭😭 😇Thanks to everybody for continuing to say Carter’s name, even the people that never met him. Wow. What an amazing day yesterday was!! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported, donated and spread the word. 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐂 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 $𝟑𝟎𝟎𝟎 for children’s cancer awareness and treatment!! ⁣⁣Huge thank you to @radiantbeerco for hosting another great night of music. Shout out to @sailorssongbook @oddrobotband and @hoorayforourside for bringing down the house. ⭐️ROCK FOR CHOC BAND SPOTLIGHT:⭐️Chase Long BeachFormed in 2002, Chase Long Beach is a globetrotting So Cal based ska-punk band formed in Long Beach, CA. Blending sunny, high-energy, third-wave ska with darker punk elements, they are best known for albums produced by @reelbigfish ‘s Aaron BarrettThey have released two full length albums and one EP. They are currently working on a follow-up EP with first single expected to release in August of 2026.Similar to contemporaries like Less Than Jake, they update the traditional ska template with occasional moody, alternative-rock twists.We have known members of Chase Long Beach for years and are so excited for them to join Rock for CHOC this year. Tragically Carter passed away suddenly due to side effects related to cancer treatments. Carter never feared going to CHOC and his family is forever grateful for the care CHOC provided during his treatment. Carter embraced life and was a key figure in the local OC ska music scene even while undergoing cancer treatments! He even had a benefit concert in his memory, Carterpalooza, in August 2016 with local ska bands and several bands played his memorial in October 2017 celebrating his life. Even after his passing, Carter continues to inspire his friends and family to spread kindness , live life without fear, and to find a cure for cancer. Carter has been named the 2026 CHOC Walk Ambassador this year! (See video link below for more on Carter’s story).
