It happened again. Another 14 year old bird hit the dirt. Pretty wild. 11 numbers off the last one #banded #tastetherainbow #beatingtheirass #livinthedream #lovinit by @chashal33

Still alive and kicking. Only my favorites get posted and so far this is it for the season. Another 2012 hit the dirt. He is 1 number off the 2012 I shot last year. Thought for sure I wouldn’t see another one of these again. Pretty neat #banded #tastetherainbow #livinthedream #lovinit by @chashal33

One of the multiple cool ones I got to see before the end of season. A nonfederal, private banded bootlip is a first for me. Was banded in northwest Indiana in 2023. Band only had his name, number and band number. Bring on the white birds #banded #spoontang #bootlip #livinthedream #lovinit by @chashal33

Blessed that I get to share THIS with so many great people day in and day out.

While ripping across a back road this morning, as the sun crested the horizon, the painting across the clouds was nothing shy of breathtaking.

The hype for the next day’s hunt only continues to build. Conversations with the landowner, watching birds piling into the feed and strategizing the best entry, hide and set up to ensure another incredible hunt.

Every single detail matters.

Then you ask yourself, “Does it get any better than this?”

My brain instantly cuts that question off, recalling all of the blind banter, laughs and camaraderie that we experience on every hunt. (And yes, my brain talks to itself like this…)

Life’s short. Live it up and make the most of every day. Appreciate the people in your corner and keep pressing on.

Quit living with “maybe, possibly, and let me see’s” and take action. The moments you’re missing out on are the ones you’ll regret later, I can guarantee that.

If you’re ready to come see for yourself, drop a comment below and let’s make some memories together! by @chashal33
