RISE – The Body at Work. Premiered on @girlsinfilm_gif Shot on Alexa Mini with B-Speeds from @mcx_films Huge thanks to the camera and lighting team who made this look the way it does. @nicolas_di_matteo on Steadicam, moving with the performers instead of around them. @louis_peppiatt_ac on 1st AC, pulling focus on people who rarely stay still. @chasing.frisson on lights, shaping every pool of light and shadow. And @mcx_films who backed us with the kit. Brilliant crew! @riyahollings has spent five years building The Body at Work, and RISE is the first film to come out of it. I came on as DoP and was lucky enough to get involved as a producer in the early stages too, helping get it to where it needed to go. Thank you, @riyahollings for bringing me in. Everyone gave a lot to this, and it was a great film to be part of. Special thanks to @avenues.studio who took the film into post and made Riya and the project feel properly looked after. @pawel_achtelik cut it, @johnlaytoncolour graded it and @zeena95 produced it through post. “It might be my film, but it’s their story.” – Riya Hollings ❤️‍🔥 A film by @riyahollings Production: @ayirstudios Executive Producer – @riyahollings Producer – @riyahollings @louis_brennan_dop Featuring – @ella_ava_crux @mayaluna.del Director of Photography – @louis_brennan_dop Steadicam – @nicolas_di_matteo 1st AC – @louis_peppiatt_ac Gaffer – @chasing.frisson Movement Director – @mayaluna.del Make Up – @bhellamakeup Editor – @pawel_achtelik Grade – @johnlaytoncolour Post Production Producer – @zeena95 Post Production Studio – @avenues.studio BTS – @violetareveilleau Special thanks: @avenues.studio @mcx_films @livingwomb.fka.alghasplantroom @lightplay_electrical @rgbcomplex by @chasing.frisson
ZOMBIE, directed by @dannymillar is an official selection in the Best Short Film category at @londoniff The film follows @fffreddiefarrell ‘s character confronting the pointlessness of his own capacity for violence, exploring what happens when the unconscious mind takes over. Director Danny Millar: 'It's a London film, but it's also about anyone who's ever felt like a rat in a cage. Proud to have lensed this one, really pleased to see it picking up festival recognition. by @chasing.frisson
