What a beautiful village in Himachal Pradesh! There is a reason why Kinnaur is one of the most peaceful regions in the entire Himachal. I’m absolutely in love with Kalpa, can’t wait to be there soon! 😍♥️

Comment below if you have any queries or questions related to Darma Valley 🏔️

5 things you NEED to know before visiting Darma Valley!

If you’re planning a trip to Darma Valley, save this because these are a few things I wish everyone knew before going!

1. Plan your route wisely-

You can take an overnight bus from Delhi to Pithoragarh or directly to Dharchula. You’ll find buses from Anand Vihar ISBT. If you travel to Pithoragarh, you’ll need to take another bus to Dharchula. If you get a direct bus to Dharchula, you can spend the night there. The next morning, take a shared cab to Dantu village.

2. Don’t miss the rooftop ride!
The shared cab ride from Dharchula to Dantu is an adventure in itself. And if it’s safe and permitted, experiencing the mountain journey from the roof of a shared vehicle is something you won’t forget. Just make sure you follow local safety rules and don’t compromise on safety for the views!

3. Wake up at 5 AM for the sunrise

Trust me, this is worth losing a little sleep over. Wake up early, step outside, and watch the first light hit the panchachuli peaks.Btw the peaks are visible from every homestay in Dantu!

4. Make time for the short Panchachuli Basecamp trek-

While you’re in Darma Valley, don’t miss the trek. It takes around three hours, making it a great way to witness the huge peaks up close with surreal views

5. Say goodbye to the internet-

This is probably the most important thing to know before you go. Internet connectivity is practically nonexistent. Jio may work for calls in certain spots, but even that isn’t reliable everywhere. Don’t expect mobile data, scrolling, or uploading stories in real time. Download your maps, save your bookings, inform your family, and prepare to be offline.

And honestly? That last part might end up being the best part of the trip.

Save this for your Darma Valley trip and send it to the person you want to get lost in the mountains with! taken in Darma valley : the himalayas rung valley by @chasingcorners_
