Yesterday, i was announced as the 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year, for Graves Elementary School. It was such an overwhelming feeling. - i didn’t expect to get all choked up in my on the spot speech! It was the first time ever in history that my school had 3 men as finalists! So humbled to walk away with that title and be apart of GES - GCPS history! Then to surprise me with my immediate family was the icing on the cake ! The love and gratitude that i felt and received sent me on a spiral. So humbled and grateful for the opportunity and platform to serve, represent and be the voice for my local school peers and students at the district level ! Now i have to compete at the district level , such a nerve / gut wrenching honor. Thank you all ! 💚 #TOTY2324 #GCPS #teacheroftheyear #TeacherOfTheYear2023 by @chasingtony
