Appreciating all the dogs, plants, animals, and love that life has to offer. I enjoy a nice balance of cute and creepy.

Happy 15th birthday to our most special little guy! We adopted Boomer from @proverbs1210animalrescue when he was just 7 months old. He was our first dog as adults, and he has brought us so much joy over the years. Truly the best boy around. We love you so much, Boomer! ❤️ by @chass_robison

Last week, I woke up and saw that Macon County Animal Control had posted this photo. In the comments, they said she was running out of time.

I was sobbing because, well… look at her. Jeff came into the room and asked what was wrong. When I showed him the photo and the comment he immediately jumped into action and called the shelter to check her status.

We knew almost nothing about her except that she had recently had puppies, who were never found, that she likes being sprayed with a garden hose, and that this beautiful dog was scheduled to be euthanized today, July 2, 2026.

So we drove four hours round trip and brought her home.

Over the last week, we have been carefully and slowly integrating her into our family. She is 101 pounds, and as it turns out, still very much a puppy herself. The vet thinks she’s around a year old.

She has already gotten her vaccines and will be getting spayed and having a gastropexy once her milk dries up completely.

Welcome to the Robison family, sweet girl.
