END OF AN ERA. DJGT entertainment started back in 2012 as a Graphic Design, Website, and Marketing company. Early on, I worked with an independent car dealership and a therapist, while also dipping into music promotion for my good friend, New York rapper, Loulep — who was the first person to push me to rap myself. When I moved back to the UK in 2014, I began performing live. DJGT then evolved into a label and events promotion company, and like anything, it took time to find its shape. Since then, we’ve hosted countless international, national, and local artists. In 2020, when COVID lockdown hit, the label side of the business really began to grow. Eff & Bunker Beats joined and dropped our debut release “Everything Eff.” Not long after, I reintroduced myself as @british_if following a few years experimenting with the Count Drankula persona. Shortly after Jetskii Dave also joined the team. In 2021, I released Chalk Alley and took it on a 6-date independent tour. After that, @purpleloftuk was formed and became our main focus. The following year, we expanded with an 8-date tour, including multiple festivals and added shows along the way. That momentum drove me to open Miami Bar, Ipswich. But now, it’s time to evolve. To grow. And let’s be honest — DJGT entertainment has always been a bit of a mouthful. It’s been an incredible journey. We’ve created unforgettable moments, put on some amazing events, and built something real. It hasn’t always been easy — from venue and collaboration disputes, to the realities of running an independent label — but it’s all part of the story. To everyone who’s been part of this journey; artists, supporters, fans — Thank You. And a personal, thank you to @everything_eff , @jetskiidave & @donbunks for believing in the vision and embracing the chaos that came with it. - Brit This isn’t the end. It’s the beginning of something new. Chat Back Records. Watch This Space. #chatbackrecords #hiphop #rap #ukhiphop #ukrap by @chatbackrecords
