Mini Repair Workshop: Sewing Stuffed Animals at the Arts Center!
Participants of all ages learned basic hand-sewing techniques and simple repair skills to mend well-loved plush toys. This workshop was presented in collaboration with Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling and the Waste & Recycling Enthusiast Program (WREP).

It is time for the Chatham County Challenge🚶🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️

What is the Chatham County Challenge?
The Chatham County Challenge is a virtual walk, run, or bike challenge that will take place October 1- 31, 2026. Bikers are challenged to complete a 100k (62 miles) and runners/walkers are challenged to complete a 50k (31 miles). Participants will be asked to track their miles one of two ways: through a mobile app called Map My Fitness or by a paper log. Every individual who completes the challenge will receive a free T-shirt! There is also a bonus challenge: The Trail Log! Individuals who visit at least 10 different trails in Chatham County throughout the challenge will be entered to win a Swag Bag!

How to participate in the Chatham County Challenge:
1. Register for FREE on REC DESK by September 30, 2026.
