🌠 EVEN SHOOTING STARS BURN OUT 🌠

Cairns/Gimuy indie-rockers Sunday Mistake are back with their second single — and this one’s for anyone who’s ever felt like they’re supposed to have it all figured out.

Following the breakout of debut single Mangoes, which landed national triple j airplay and a spot in Unearthed High Frequency, Even Shooting Stars Burn Out sees the young FNQ outfit turn vulnerability, change and the inevitable shit day into a jangly indie-rock anthem.

Think jangly guitars, dynamic trumpet, cathartic percussion and a reminder we could probably all use sometimes:

Even the brightest burn out. That doesn’t make them any less bright. 🌟

RUM JUNGLE!!!!
I’ve been holding onto this one for a while now….

I had the pleasure of interviewing these guys after their vinyl pressing in Brisbane at @suitcaserecords

They’ve had massive success with their national and international tour, Recency Bias being number one on the aria charts, and being part of the impressive Spilt Milk lineup.

Watch part 2 on YouTube (in the bio!!) to hear their best advice, their take on the challenges of touring and how you can help improve and keep the concert scene alive!

Huge thank you to Amy and Poppy for helping me🫶

We’re being absolutely spoiled this month — some of our favourite artists are dropping new music and we’re so here for it.
Don’t forget to pre-save and add to your playlists (it makes a huge difference for indie bands!).

Honourable mentions:
@egoismx — How to Disappear (April 1)
@loosegooseband — What I’d Do (For You) (April 3)
@rage_flower — Hot Glue (April 17)

Which release are you most hyped for? Drop your faves in the comments so we can add to our playlist too.

I had the chance to sit down with @hollyhebe at the last show of @therionsband tour in Brisbane to do fun interview!!

Holly is from Melbourne and was the main opening act for The Rions ‘Happiness in Places’ Tour.. Her recent single Ultra Love ft @itsellamusic already has 300k+ streams on Spotify.

You can vote Holly’s ‘Hat Hair’ in Triple Js Hottest 100 (and you should).

Big thank you to Holly, and Kenzie for helping film❤️ taken in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia by @chatterbox.media

the amazing @romaclark_ !!!

Mel (who goes by Roma Clark for her music) and I have known each other since primary school! I had the privilege to sit down with her and talk about her music, and discuss her latest releases 'Faces' (it's out RIGHT NOW!!!)

Roma spilled about her favourite artists, which artist she would choose to solely listen to for the rest of her life, and her terrible poker face.

Make sure you go follow her on Instagram and Spotify, she's definitely one to keep an eye on! GO STREAM FACES NOW!! (it is truly ethereal)

Thank you so much Mel❤️

TSE!!!!

While I was in Sydney a couple of weeks ago, I sat down with Conor and Tom from The Sunday Estate at @pickledmonkeybrewing to talk about their band, music, and touring!

They also learned how to play (or not play) the kazoo...
I had lots of fun; thank you to the boys for joining me, Rach for helping film and Pickled Monkey for having us 🫶
