I feel like such a f*cking dick… (and before anyone comments on my technique, I know I still can’t do them properly-but I’m trying, so shut it šŸ˜)Because for YEARS I convinced myself I just wasn’t strong enough to do a chin-up.What a load of sh!t.The truth? I never properly tried. I didn’t want to look like a tit. I didn’t want people watching me fail. So instead, I just told myself I couldn’t do it.Turns out… I was talking absolute bollocks. And it’s made me realise how many other areas of my life I’ve done exactly the same thing.Business.Branding.Parenting.Relationships.Life.We tell ourselves these stories and before we know it, we believe them.Am I doing a perfect chin-up yet? Nope. But I’m a hell of a lot closer than I was a month ago because I keep turning up.I’m learning that discipline beats motivation every. single. time. The same goes for building a brand. No one builds a recognisable brand by posting once a month when they ā€˜feel inspired’. You build it by showing up consistently—even when it feels mega shit and no one’s paying attention.Same with confidence.Same with resilience.Same with life.Keep fucking showing up.Keep trying.Keep failing.Keep building.Because you’ve only got one life… and I’d rather look like a knobhead trying than spend another year convincing myself I can’t. by @chatwithjenny

ALLLLL THE ā¤ļøMaking new friends as a grown-up, especially as a mum, is HARD.Everyone’s busy, everyone’s tired, everyone’s trying to keep tiny humans alive whilst remembering their PE kit and whether they’ve paid the bloody Dart Charge. But when you find your people? The ones that just get you? It’s pure magic. The friends who don’t take it personally when you disappear for a few days… or a few weeks. The ones who understand your highs, your lows and all the chaos in between. The ones where no explanation is needed because they’ve got their own madness going on too.The friends where you’re somehow both having completely different conversations in the same WhatsApp chat, but you both still know exactly what’s going on.Those friendships are gold.Yesterday I went to my gorgeous friend Chrissie’s wedding and OMG what a day.I honestly haven’t laughed that much in ages. The kind of laughing where your face hurts, your mascara is questionable and you spend most of the day saying, ā€œStop it, I can’t breathe.ā€And can we just talk about what an honour it is to be invited to a wedding? To be part of one of the biggest days of someone’s life, surrounded by all the people who love them most. The whole day was at The Boatyard in Maldon, Essex and it was just beautiful. Family, friends, happy tears, belly laughs, questionable dance moves and so much love.It also made me realise how grateful I am for the friendships I’ve found over the years. Not just women I have a glass of wine with, but women I genuinely do life with. Women who support my business, let me support theirs, cheer me on, call me out when needed and make the hard days feel lighter. My cup is very, very full today.Congratulations Chrissie & Aaron, you absolute nutters. ā¤ļøWhat a day. What a love story. What a bunch of legends. by @chatwithjenny

OMFG I CAN’T BELIEVE I DID IT šŸ˜‚Wait till the end. This is actually a Buccal Massage — a specialist facial massage that works both externally and inside the mouth to release deep tension in the cheeks, jaw and lower face.As someone who carries approximately 97% of their stress in my jaw, I was equal parts fascinated and terrified. But WOW.The therapist can access muscles that simply can’t be reached from the outside, helping to release clenching, grinding, headaches and all that lovely stress we unknowingly store in our faces. The weirdest part? I didn’t realise how much tension I was carrying until it was gone. And can we talk about Bex for a second? She has a waiting list packed with celebrities and after one session I completely understand why. She’s an absolute facial genius. The knowledge, the technique, the attention to detail… next level.I walked in feeling tight, overwhelmed and holding everything together. I walked out feeling lighter, calmer and like someone had hit a reset button on my nervous system. And yes… despite what the photo suggests, there was no surgery involved. šŸ˜‚āœØ Wait till the end to see the results. by @chatwithjenny

I actually think there’s a much bigger point hiding underneath this reel.Everyone assumes productivity looks like sitting at the same desk, in the same chair, doing the same thing every day.For some people, that’s true. For me, it’s never been true.I’ve spent years trying to force myself into that box because I thought that’s what successful people were supposed to do. I’ve rented offices, spent tens of thousands on coworking spaces, bought planners, created routines and promised myself I’d finally become ā€œthat person.ā€The reality? As a single mum with ADHD, life has never looked that neat.Ironically, I get more done in five minutes sat at a red light voice-noting an idea than I do in two hours staring at a desk.I don’t thrive on repetition. I thrive on stimulation.New places.New people.New conversations.New energy.Routine is something I crave, but rigid structure is often the thing that shuts my brain down.I’ve spent a long time beating myself up for not working like everyone else. Now I’m starting to realise that maybe the goal isn’t to fit the box.Maybe it’s to build a life that works with your brain, not against it.So if you ever watch my stories and wonder…A.) Where is she now?B.) Does she even work?C.) What does she actually do?The answer is: usually all of the above, just not in the way you’d expect. šŸ˜… by @chatwithjenny

Yesterday at Mothers Meetings we spoke about how easy it is to lose yourself once you become a parent. You spend years making lunches, doing school runs, building businesses, paying bills, cleaning houses and looking after everyone else… and somewhere along the way, the things that made you feel alive can quietly disappear. The funny thing is, finding yourself again doesn’t have to be a month in Bali or an expensive shopping spree.Sometimes it’s just choosing one thing. One thing that’s yours. One thing you’ve always wanted to do.And then keeping going.Whether it takes a week, a month, a year or even two years.I’ve been trying to do a headstand for what feels like forever. Some months I don’t even attempt it. Other weeks I’ll try a few times. And fuck yes, I fall over. A lot.But I keep going. What’s funny is that learning a headstand has taught me far more than just how to balance upside down. It’s taught me about yoga, breathing, focus, patience and meditation — things I never really understood before.I’m a kinaesthetic learner. I learn by doing, not by reading about something or listening to someone explain it. I have to experience it.So whilst I thought I was learning a headstand, what I was actually learning was how to slow down, be present, trust my body and breathe through discomfort instead of fighting it.What I’ve realised is that the lesson isn’t really about the headstand. It’s about showing up.It’s about proving to yourself that you’re still capable of learning, growing and becoming. And the beautiful thing? My kids see it all. They’ve watched me wobble, fail, laugh, get frustrated and try again. In fact, they’ve pretty much mastered it before I have. But that’s not the point. The point is they’ve seen determination. They’ve seen that not getting something straight away isn’t a reason to quit.So if you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to focus on yourself, don’t.Pick one thing.Learn a language.Run a 5k.Start a business.Learn to surf.Do a headstand.Whatever it is.Just keep showing up.Because little by little, whilst you’re chasing that thing, you’ll often find yourself again too. by @chatwithjenny

Triggered??? Do gym selfies trigger you?If they do, this post is for you.Because every time someone posts a sweaty gym pic, a running selfie, a yoga pose or a progress shot, there are always people rolling their eyes thinking:ā€œWe get it. You work out.ā€But what if you’re looking at it the wrong way? What if that selfie isn’t showing off? What if it’s someone celebrating themselves for doing something hard.Getting fit is hard.Staying healthy is hard.Showing up when you’re tired is hard. And if someone is proud of themselves for doing that, why shouldn’t they share it?More importantly…If those selfies genuinely annoy you, frustrate you or trigger you, maybe ask yourself why.Sometimes the things that trigger us aren’t about the other person at all.Sometimes they’re showing us something we want for ourselves. The truth is, one gym selfie could be the reason another mum gets out of bed tomorrow and goes for a walk. One running photo could inspire someone to sign up for Couch to 5K.One person showing up can give another person permission to do the same.So post the selfie.Celebrate the workout.Celebrate the run.Celebrate the tiny wins.Because you never know who’s watching quietly thinking:ā€œIf she can do it… maybe I can too.ā€ ā¤ļø by @chatwithjenny

Manifesting is a bit like ordering food in a restaurant. You decide what you want. You place the order. And then you get on with enjoying the conversation. You don’t call the waitress over every two minutes asking, ā€œHas it started? Is it coming? Are you sure it’s coming?ā€Because the moment you placed the order, you trusted it was already being prepared. That’s the part people often forget. The power isn’t in obsessing over the thing you want. The power is in being clear about it, putting the intention out there, and then releasing your grip on the outcome.I was explaining this to my 12-year-old niece yesterday about a boy she likes at school. Once you’ve acknowledged what you want, you don’t need to spend every waking minute checking, analysing, worrying, or forcing.Trust is part of the process.Life has a funny way of pulling us in every direction. Running a business, raising children, keeping a home together, trying to look after ourselves. It’s easy to focus on everything we haven’t done and forget everything we have.Lately, I’ve been reminding myself to celebrate the small wins. The school runs. The bills paid. The difficult conversations had. The gym sessions. The packed lunches. The emails sent. The endless invisible jobs nobody applauds.Because success isn’t built in the big glamorous moments. It’s built in the thousands of small things that happen before them. The Porsche is still coming. The dreams are still coming.I’ve placed my order. Now I’m getting on with my life while the kitchen does its thing. ✨ by @chatwithjenny
