I am honored to be a recipient of the Futures Fund 2026 cycle by The Luminary!

Thank you to @theluminaryarts and @warholfoundation for providing the funding to bring my vision to life.

This is a project truly near and dear to my heart. At its core, this work is about showcasing the vibrant, diverse communities across St. Louis and celebrating our shared family, culture, heritage, memory and home— while archiving the stories and recipes that are so often left behind or forgotten. I will be interviewing 22 women as part of this project.

Food is one of the many ways that brings us all together. Food is political, and food shows us how we are all interconnected in more ways than we realize. STL, help me bring this vision to life!

Supper Club ००१

I don’t know what stars aligned to make this possible, but seeing the physical manifestation of something that once only existed in my head feels surreal.

What I do know is that I’m incredibly grateful to have shared the food of my people almost 7,000 miles away from my motherland, here in my second home, St. Louis.

I’m so grateful to @tschuss_bar for giving me the space and trusting me with the opportunity to bring my vision to life — what I hope will be the first of many supper clubs. And to @alyssekatherine and @adee.grg, thank you for helping me capture such beautiful moments from such a special night.

To everyone who helped make this happen, and to everyone who showed up and became a part of this experience: thank you. I truly couldn’t have done it without you. xx

To begin this supper club, I couldn’t imagine sharing anything more special than Thakali Thali— the food so many of us Nepali grew up eating together with the people we love. The meal that nourished us, fueled us, and always made its way back to our table.

As the saying goes, “Daal Bhaat Power 24 Hour.”

This supper club is a way to bring a piece of my motherland to St. Louis, my second home, and to share the flavors, stories, and memories that shaped who I am today.

So, come travel to Nepal with me through the flavors of my childhood, one story, one memory, and one meal at a time. I can’t wait to gather around the table with you all.

This is a dream I’ve carried with me since long before Chautari began, and this month, I’m finally bringing it to life.

Eleven seats. One communal table. An evening rooted in culture, memory, gratitude, and the hands that feed us.
