@brokencupteahouse 📍 Cambridge, MA Congrats to the team for the soft opening of Broken Cup Teahouse! Especially Yin, Jonathan and the staff for creating a relaxing and down to earth tea experience. The way they transformed the space is incredible. There's a huge contrast between the office spaces of @cicnow and their space, they even provide comfy slippers. Broken Cup Teahouse House specializes in fresh and aged oolong teas, they have a robust menu and flavor options from floral and citrus. Their teas are single origin meaning they come directly from the people who grow, pick, and roast the tea leaves. I was surprised with how the flavor profiles come directly from the leaf and that there are zero additives besides their osmanthus teas. I tried their Yuja Peel which originates from Jeju, Korea and Hummingbird's Dream from Guangdong, China (where my ancestors were born) which was my favorite. I came in with a sore throat and this experience healed it. I no longer feel like a cat went at it 😸 You can choose between the 3 steep or their gongfu which gives you the option of preparing the tea yourself. I would definitely come back to try more of their teas. @nanasgreentea_boston Tokyo's # 1 Modern Tea House is FINALLY OPEN in Boston 📍 Newbury StreetWhat did I order? 💚 Matcha Shiratama Parfait🤎 Hojicha Warabimochi Parfait (A MUST)They serve everything from matcha lattes, cakes, soft serves to their signature parfaits. They even have their own matcha and hojicha blend. Absolutely don't sleep on the Hojicha Warabimochi Parfait, the hojicha with the warabimochi and red bean paste combo is so lovely. I wish I could just bring home their red bean paste exclusively because it was SO GOOD. You'll also enjoy all the textures and flavors that come with each parfait, it's really well thought out.I was also surprised that by the end of it, I expected myself to be KO'd by the food coma or have a sugar crashout, but I didn't and that is a testament to the quality of the ingredients they use. Breakheart Reservation 📍 Saugus, MAWe walked 4 hours exploring all the trails ~5 miles. There are two lakes, a beach, 1 peak view. Spotted two deer, chipmunks, squirrels, a hawk, finches, lots of insects, and even an owl! The weather and breeze was lovely. They have another location at Burlington Mall, however getting a spot at the Winchester location is easier as it's local. @bell86_bos 🇰🇷 Korean Tapas & Bar📍 Coolidge Corner, Brookline w/my girl @ferbjoo Open until midnight except Friday & Saturday to 2 AM. The setting is refined dining, but still very chill and lively. They were playing early 2000's KPOP music. My favorites were the Vegetable Gimbap which was umami from the sesame oil and the Tteok Kalbi which had so much depth in flavor.
