Hello September!

September has always been a good month for a little luxury. As summer winds down and calendars fill back up, our September issue finds plenty of reasons to slow down, look closer and enjoy the ride.

On our cover, New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Davon Godchaux shares his life beyond football through his passion for performance horses. We take a closer look at the collectible cars of 1thirtyone Motorcars, revisit the legendary Cattlemen’s, follow Route 66 through Santa Fe as the Mother Road celebrates its 100th anniversary, and go behind the scenes with Fort Worth Herd Trail Boss Georgia Cartwright to uncover the history behind Cowtown’s iconic drovers.

From horsepower to longhorns, classic cars to the open road, this issue is all about the drive — and the unexpected places it takes us.

Drive through the September issue through the link in bio!

For Davon Godchaux, the horses started with a simple idea: find one big enough for a 6-foot-3, 330-pound NFL defensive tackle to ride. Then he got the itch.

Now, the NFL veteran is building a Texas performance-horse operation with dozens of horses, a growing broodmare program and ambitions that stretch well beyond his football career. It’s less a departure than a new arena for the toughness, discipline and consistency that have defined him all along.

Texas, you’ve welcomed me with open arms. This one means a lot.

Proud to be on the cover of 360West Magazine, a publication dedicated to the people, places, businesses and culture that make Fort Worth and greater West Texas what it is.

Coming into the Western world, I knew I had a lot to learn. What I didn’t know was just how quickly this community would make me feel at home.

To have Godchaux Ranch, my family and this next chapter of my life recognized on the cover is something I don’t take lightly.

Football may be what brought my name into the spotlight, but horses, ranching and building something for the future have become a huge part of who I am.

Thank you to @360west for telling our story, and thank you Texas for welcoming a Louisiana guy into the Western family.

We’re just getting started.

Davon Godchaux might have the flyest crib in the league 👀

We linked up with @saints Defensive Lineman @chauxdown at his South Florida home for a tour through his closet, his cars, and the story behind it all — plus a sit-down on who he is off the field.

Bottega, Balenciaga, a Virgil Abloh collection, and a garage full of restored classics.
