Grateful to be a part of the Seattle ballroom community given I’ve only been back for less than a year. Seattle is my hometown and it’s amazing to take home a mainstream GP where I was born and raised! I have received overwhelming support from everyone; this is my first mainstream win 🤍 thank you so much everyone!!
-
Congratulations and thank you again @julianeverett for creating an amazing ball! Happy Julian day indeed ✨

Friday, May 22nd 8-10:30pm — Workshop Edition!
Foundations of Old Way featuring International Father @chawbie Sun☀️

Chawbie Sun De La Blanca (they/them) has been part of the ballroom community practicing Old Way voguing for 2+ years and has won grand prizes in Old Way and Vogue Performance in Washington, Canada, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Thanks to the guidance of several mentors: Vietnam Father Minerva Mizrahi (@minerva_mizrahi), Overall Founding Father Aurora LaBeija (@aurora_sun_labeija), and Icon Grandfather Julian De La Blanca (@iconjuliandelablanca) they hope to continue to learn and grow with the ballroom community.

Their goals is to honor ballroom culture, its history, and share this knowledge with others in order to help the ballroom community thrive!

Come master the foundations of old way and work your way to grand prize! taken in 2+U by @chawbie
