Couldn’t quite put our finger on it… but Juliette’s nose had no problem 🤣

Overall did not enjoy this first durian experience, will have to try again when it isn’t so ripe.

This also stunk out our entire hotel room even though we didn’t even bring it in 😭

We visited 10 countries over the last 4 months and this is our favourite way to explore and why 🗺️

🔭We feel like you get a more authentic experience walking through the random streets, alleyways and parks that locals enjoy and tourists overlook.

🔭Practicing local language has been really fun whether you just say hello (Hola, Hallo, Ni hau, sawatde ka) or try and learn some new words it’s always a fun experience.

🔭We have both managed to stay quite fit during our travels despite eating lots of food😅 walking definitely has kept us in good fitness.

🔭On hikes you always make a friend, you may not be friends for life but you get to the top of a hard climb and everyone’s in the same boat and can relate.

🔭It’s FREE, as we are travelling on a budget walking is very affordable and if the walk is under an hour 99% of the time we will walk.

🔭We both love nature and architecture, so walking allows you to spend as much time as you want admiring the things we enjoy most while travelling.

🔭So many times we have walked down a random street that we had never planned on going down and it was so cool, the universe has led us to many unexpected places that turned out to be highlights.

🔭It’s a huge privilege to be able to move your body in the ways you want it to, and we are lucky to be able to walk, move, and see the world in this way! The fact we have been able to do these incredible walks, hikes, and side quests is so lucky, and for some it wouldn’t be possible, so acknowledging how privileged and blessed you are to be able to walk and move is very important too! by @chazandjuju

It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows but…..

♥️Many people and social media told us not to come to Phuket this time of year but we felt like it was perfect.

♥️It rained but mostly in the morning or at night, even if it was raining lightly during the day we bought a dry bag and wore clothes we don’t mind getting wet and you can still swim, walk around and chill.

♥️The forecast said it was raining everyday but it almost never did, the weather is unpredictable so just be prepared for anything

♥️Hotels where heavily discounted in the places we stayed so we where able too stay in really nice accommodation for very cheap (Less than 20USD per night)

♥️Less crowds, it was still super busy, but we were told this is quiet by Phuket standards.

♥️This is just our experience we know that some people have come here and it has rained the whole time, but just sharing our experience that was mostly positive.

Our 16 day Scandinavian road trip🇩🇰🇳🇴🇸🇪

🇩🇰Started our trip in Denmark, Malthe picked us up from northern Germany after our failed Deutsche Bahn experience.
🇩🇰Spent a few days exploring his home town and Aarhus, getting prepared for the big roadie.
🇩🇰Drove north to Skallerup Kilt and stayed on the beach for a few nights with Malthe’s family, was very relaxing.

🇳🇴Took the early morning ferry to Kristiansand, got a taste of the high prices, amazing tunnel infrastructure and the natural beauty.
🇳🇴spent the next week going from fjord to fjord, truely has some of the most spectacular scenery that we have ever seen.
🇳🇴We free camped almost every night and cooked every meal, the Norwegian prices are no joke😅

🇸🇪Sweden was a bit of a flop for us, we mainly just drove through the south west, and had an unfortunate experience with Juliette’s phone being taken.
🇸🇪Had trouble finding camping spots and wish we had planned this area better so we felt we didn’t do it justice.

🇩🇰Ferried back to Denmark, and camped in a randoms backyard for free!
🇩🇰Copenhagen was one of the most amazing cities we have visited, so organised, clean, great transport, food and access to the outdoors.
🇩🇰Once again the Scandinavian prices are no joke, make sure to be prepared ( Paid 10+NZD for coffee multiple times) (But it’s worth it because the coffee is amazing)

Our 2 weeks volunteering in west Germany was EPIC!

We went through Worldpackers and found the Schmitz family, who were amazing people and hosts.

We worked, travelled, learnt German, ate German food / drinks, and meet lovely people on the way!

One of our favourite countries, and memories, of our three month trip so far ♥️

WELCOME TO OUR FIRST POST!!!!!

We are currently on a ferry over to Norway, but here is a bit of an update so far of our journey (with more to come of course).

We wanted to create this account for two reasons: 1. to share this amazing trip with our friends / family AND 2. A place to document as much of what we learn and experience as we go (hopefully to help others who are interested in cheap travel / volunteering to travel)

We started our journey in Philadelphia, where we both studied, and headed to England where we stopped in London, Swindon/the Cotswolds, and Bath. Shoutout @suzecatering @davewart73 @dyln_stm We then got the EASIEST Easyjet flight (pun intended), and arrived in Amsterdam for Juliette’s birthday! Charlie had an interesting…. experience in Amsterdam (storytime incoming), so we escaped to The Hague / Monster with @bram_van_druten

Our next stop brought us to our first @worldpackers volunteer experience with @alwin7204 and Stephanie, they were the best hosts in beautiful Tüddern, Germany. We got to work on their garden, hang out with their lovely kids, and experience an authentic German town. We loved every minute!

While in Tüddern we were able to see A LOT, including Düsseldorf, Leuven, Brussels, Maastricht, Aachen, and Sittard. We also got the chance to see @maevagerbeaux on one of these trips, but more to come in part 2… 💓💓 by @chazandjuju
