Just processed my M1 Crab Nebula image captured in March 2026. I have been wanting to image it for ages. The Crab Nebula is a supernova remnant and pulsar wind nebula located in the constellation Taurus 6,500 light years from Earth. Early Chinese Astronomers recorded its explosion in 1054 AD. I captured 150 x180 second images on the trusted Askar-71F scope, AM5N mount, 533MC camera, Optolong L-Pro filter,Asiair Plus.
Processed in Pixinsight and Lightroom. Enjoy! by @chazsupernova

As part of my Galaxy sesson caputures in May 2026, here is my processed image of NGC 4244 also known as Caldwell 26 which is an edge-on loose spiral galaxy 14 million light years from Earth in the constellation Canes Venatici and is part of the M94 grouping of Galaxies. I took 170 x 180 second images on the Askar-71F, AM5n, 533MC camera, Optolong UV/IR filter on the Asiair Plus. Processed in Pixinsight and Lightroom. Enjoy. by @chazsupernova

I processed my M98 Galaxy images captured back in May 2026. This was only 76 x 180 second images. M98 is an edge on spiral galaxy in the constellation of Coma Berenices, which is part of the Virgo Cluster and is 44.4 million light years from earth. It is a blueshifted galaxy which is moving towards Earth. Taken on my Askar-71F, AM5n, 533MC Optolong UV/IR filter, Asiair Plus. Processed in Pixinsight and Lightroom. by @chazsupernova

Finished processing another target captured in April 2026. M51 the Whirlpool Galaxy and its buddy NGC 5195 on the right arm. Its 31 million light years away from Earth in the constellation of Canes Venatici. Its spiral arms are star-forming factories producing new young stars. This image is 200 x 180 second images taken on my Askar-71F AM5N mount, with the 533MC camera and Optolong UV/IR filter. Image processed in Pixinsight and Lightroom. Enjoy. by @chazsupernova

Its been 6 months since i processed and posted any astro images. Caring for my mum put a hold to my hobby. But i am back in the saddle now and processing again. Please see my images of the Cave Nebula SH2-155. Its an emission nebula in the constellation of Cepheus 2,400 light years away. Imaged from my back garden in North Essex. 200 x 180 second images taken on my trusted Askar-71F scope with the ZWO 533MC camera with the Optolong L-Para Filter. All mounted on the AM5N and managed by the Asiair Plus. Shown are the captured image's and the process steps. I hope you enjoy. Its been 6 months since i processed and posted any astro images.
