We're ready to see your best work! If you have a project that deserves to be recognized, now is the time to enter the 2027 Georgie Awards.

Entering is easy. Follow these steps to get started:

1. Review the Call for Entries (link in bio)

Start by reviewing the Call for Entries to familiarize yourself with the categories, entry requirements, criteria and important deadlines.

2. Prepare your entry

Visit georgieawards.ca and click on "Enter Awards" to access the Entry Portal.

3. Submit your entry online

Complete your submission through the online portal and submit it before the deadline: 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. by @chba_bc

The "Georgies" will once again feature over 50 categories, including three new awards:

• Best Multi-Family Low/Mid/High Rise “Unit”

• Best Bathroom - New or Renovation

• Grand Georgie Award for Interior Designer of the Year by @chba_bc

Our next Net Zero Builder Training session, taking place on October 22-23, is now open for registration. The link is in our bio, where you'll also find information on how CHBA members can receive a $400 training rebate!

This Kitsilano Net Zero Duplex was strategically upgraded to a CHBA Net Zero Permit to unlock significant zoning advantages from the City of Vancouver.

As part of the Province's consultation process for Budget 2027, CHBA BC has submitted three recommendations to help improve housing affordability and increase the supply of new homes across British Columbia.

Our recommendations call on the BC government to:

✔️ Negotiate and implement a federal-provincial agreement to deliver a GST rebate, or equivalent, for all buyers of new homes in BC.

✔️ Reverse the expansion of PST on professional services related to housing development, reducing unnecessary costs that ultimately impact homebuyers.

✔️ Prioritize investment in new market-rate housing by expanding incentives and financing programs, while advancing building code reforms that support more attainable housing supply.

Addressing B.C.'s housing challenges requires policies that reduce costs, improve affordability, and make it easier to build the homes British Columbians need. by @chba_bc
