Every Obstacle Is A Lesson 🎶

“Many people .. have this very strange idea that just because you’re becoming more spiritual that you won’t have any challenges anymore. Just the opposite is the case. You’ll have more challenges because you’re more capable of handling them!” - Bashar

Going into 2025, I broke my own heart. I did so for my own peace and self-love. I chose myself this year by redirecting the love I gave externally back into myself and I had some great experiences, a lot of spiritual lessons, a lot of emotions I learned to transmute, and opened my crown, throat, and heart chakras a lot more.

In February I was asked to be part of an LFW Sustainability Segment with only 2 weeks to design and produce. May that stress never find me again 😅 all jokes aside, I was featured in Harpers Bazaar’s May edition. The primary highlight being that my carnival inspired (more specifically Jab Jab) design was chosen to be part of the article and lead to other fashion magazines reaching out to collaborate in the future 🙏🏽

In August my heart broke again 💔 I lost one of my grandma’s 🕊️🇬🇩 my heart was already so heavy from the New Year, processing this loss has been challenging. Knowing she is no longer in pain and believing her soul has transcended and continues to walk with me has helped 🙏🏽❤️

In November I took a bold step towards a vision I have always seen for myself (career wise). You will see me pivot (slightly) but this will be a wholesome pivot into more community based projects. I believe this to be my calling so I’m extremely excited for what this next chapter has for me 🙌🏽

Despite the lows, there has been equal highs. The road is never straight but as long as you learn from every experience you will be able to reframe it from negative to positive. We’re all human and carry many different emotions towards what we experience but our perspective is like a projector. What we believe something to be in our minds is what we see externally, so that’s why it’s so important to practice self regulation so we can see things clearly. Be objective where you can and hold people/yourself to account where necessary ✊🏽
