Last year, on a warm day in July, we came together for a very special in-store session to create more visibility for FLINTA* artists and to celebrate their presence in electronic music.

It turned into something really beautiful — amazing people, a cosy vibe, and four great sets that you can now watch on YouTube.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up and of course to the four wonderful artists:

@vanaenae_r
@carlottanw
@dj_zurueckbleiben_bitte
@jana_falcon

More to come. ✨

And before any fellow FLINTA* person feels attacked: No, of course we can do all of this on our own. 😇😘
But in my world, I still believe in togetherness - where everyone supports each other, no matter their gender.

The reason for this post is that I’ve recently seen a lot of really big-name lineups (and not the commercial once!) with literally zero women on them. Some of you already saw and supported my tiny comments under those announcements. Thx ♥️

It takes energy not to let that make me sad. But we can do this!!! And I realise how important it is to keep stating even the simplest rules every now and then. Because in the end, it’s not that hard… people just need a reminder from time to time.

So, this is a little guide for you — maybe not so much for those who are already speaking up loudly and simply demanding parity, but rather for those who are just starting to engage with this topic and want to take it step by step.

Share it if you like, and comment if you have more tips — because these are, of course, just the basics that everyone should already be doing anyway. ♥️

*Please replace every „women“ with FLINTA* in the slides (Improvement for the next posts promised and hints for that warmly welcome - happend because this side calls „Check HER Out“ - but every person should feel safe and comfortable with this post ♥️)

CHECK OUT — @anninamusik

„Hailing from the deep swamplands of Southeast Finland, it’s no surprise Annina’s exposure to electronic music was found while traveling elsewhere - in fact, it was becoming involved in the Sydney scene which spawned her love for dance music, and ultimately inspired her move to Berlin in 2018. It was there she became focused on her groovy but upfront sound and met like-minded music heads eventually co-founding the minimal collective Zapped Berlin in 2021. Aside from DJing around Europe for respected venues such as Hoppetosse in Berlin and Culture Box in Denmark her work as a producer has been well-received and she is now focused in the studio on pushing her sound to the next level amongst a few other yet-to-be-revealed projects.“
