Dear Me,

Happy 25th Birthday.

It’s surreal — twenty-five. A whole quarter of a century. Somehow, I’ve made it here, and I’m proud of myself for that. Not just for surviving, but for growing… quietly, sometimes painfully, but always forward.

This birthday feels different. It’s not just about cake or messages — it’s about pausing to acknowledge me. Everything I’ve carried. Everything I’ve let go. Everything I’ve held on to. It’s about honouring the strength I’ve built, the love I’ve given, and the peace I’m still learning to protect.

I’ve seen tough days, and I’ve seen days that made my heart feel full. I’ve made mistakes. I’ve learned lessons. I’ve stood up for others, and more recently, I’ve learned to stand up for myself too. Growth hasn’t been linear, but it’s been real — and that’s something to be proud of.

I’ve been many things to many people — dependable, present, kind, even when I felt unseen. And though I don’t always give myself enough credit, today I will. Because I’ve shown up. I’ve tried. I’ve endured. I’ve become.

So here’s to 25.
To becoming softer without breaking.
To choosing peace over perfection.
To dreaming boldly and loving fully.
To protecting my space, guarding my joy, and trusting my journey.

I may not have everything figured out, but I have something even better — me. And that’s enough to build anything.
