Barbie princess charm school X EAH because they’re my two favourite schools ever!!! I thought that this was waaayy too fitting and it’s something I’ve been putting off drawing for a while, but I had so so much fun drawing the girls in uniform!

GUESS WHOS BACK!!!!!! 🤑🤑 I’m finally on break so I can draw again and I am jumping for joy whoopeeee

I missed drawing so much but I think the high I was riding when I was doing my redesigns earlier this year has worn off so when I was trying to work on the next part of my designs everything was turning out trash and I just felt so exhausted from drawing full body lineups🥲🥲

So I think I’ll be putting off the wonderlandians for a bit and drawing other things until I feel like I can work on them again!

Anyway this is a reminder to quadruple check your references because I literally forgot a massive chunk of ravens chest piece thing (I am too lazy to add it back so don’t look too closely ig)
I’m so proud of this piece! it was very much out of my comfort zone and I really loved the sketch too so you get to see it as well

Part 4 of my ever after high redesigns!! Gonna talk abt faybelle a lot bc her design gave me so much grief 💖

I really struggled with her since I feel like the dark fairy doesn’t really have a lot of distinctive iconography other than the spinning wheel (plus the thorns ig but those are more related to sleeping beauty and her fairy godmother). So I tried to incorporate the passing of time as a theme into her design such as the wilted rose skirt, her top which I wanted to look like cobwebs or mould and her eaten up wings which I tried to make resemble when leaves get eaten up by bugs! I don’t really know how obvious it was trying to convey the hundred years thing since it’s kind of abstract haha😭
Also i wanted her hair to look like the fibres that you put on a spindle! In one of my early drafts her hair was really tightly coiled up but it was a pain to draw so I made it looser in this one

For farrah, I gave her yellow as an accent colour since pumpkin flowers are yellow :DD I was also kind of struggling with her shoes because I didn’t want to give her shoes that would outshine ashlynns (tbh I made ash’s shoes kind of boring so I just made my life harder lol) so in the end I tried making it so it looked like she wasn’t wearing shoes/wearing shoes permanently stuck mid transformation?? Hopefully it came across well I’ve been staring at this for way too long
Her wings are based off the glass wing butterfly for obvious reasons😋

I consistently have a bit of a problem where I struggle to find a good balance between ‘what would this chatacter ACTUALLY wear’ vs ‘what can I make them wear that makes their parentage clear’ for characters like sparrow because he kind of resents his dad so ig ‘realistically’ he would probably dress totally differently
But I had a lot of fun sneaking in different references to his story like the hunting horn!! He’d definitely not use it for its intended purpose and instead just use it to annoy the shit out of everyone
Finally duchess my love!!! Her design is so perfect to me so this is less like a redesign and more like a restyle :)

Part 3 of my EAH redesigns this time with the two pack characters! I really love the laced up parts in holly and poppys og designs and really wanted to keep them in mine! also tried to make it look like the twins both took from their mothers wardrobe bc they were all stuck in a tower together (I actually can’t recall if it was ever mentioned whether they could leave the tower or not)
Poppy modified one of rapunzels dresses into a top
Hunters cape thing has embroidery by ash bc she knows he likes cute animals!

Part 2 of my EAH redesigns! You can probably see the thronecoming and g3 Cupid influence on my Cupid design very clearly lol 😭😭also for cedar I think I strayed the furthest from her original design which I was a bit afraid to do but actually really love it! I wanted to add blue to her design (I might play around with keeping her pink/purple colour scheme in future art though idk) to link her more to the blue fairy and look a bit more magical, and also reference the ocean! I also had to amp up the gold in her design bc it’s such an important part of her story as well. There were so many more animals from pinnochio that I wish I could have included but ended up just picking the cricket and the tunny fish because I feel like they had the most memorable interactions😋😋

I feel like I made cerise’s eats way too big… they’d probably protrude from her hood but let’s just pretend that she can tuck her ears back or something

Finally finished my ever after high redesigns!! I didn’t make too many changes from the originals bc I’m literally so attached to them I love my girls so much 😭

I had to redo maddies design so many times which felt weird cuz I draw her so much so I assumed that coming up with something would be easier🥹 but I’m actually so happy with how these four came out and had so much fun! Maybe I’ll do the rest of the cast too

My headcanon on how the swan princess legacy works in eah: (going off of the original ballet’s plot) Typically, Odette, the swan princess and siegfried, the prince will have a child (the destiny holder) before they meet their end in the lake. Their child will then be brought up by the swan maidens, and assigned an older swan (called her ‘grandmother’) as her primary guardian. However, in the event that odette and siegfried do not manage to have a child, a baby swan amongst the swan maidens will be selected to fulfill the swan princess destiny.

Here’s a younger duchess and her grandmother! I haven’t stopped thinking about how the swan princess destiny would play out, especially after reading next top villain where we have some insight into duchess’ upbringing (the fact that her grandma was able to be a human and not cursed to follow odettes destiny was strange to me so I made up this headcanon to explain it to myself lol)

Had to drop everything and make this because what else am I meant to think about when I see doomed princess x knight content? I imagine this as a coronation scene/royal ceremony of some sort in a world where apple tries to go ahead with her destiny as closely as possible (marrying daring, etc) even though she realised darling was actually her true love. Apple is wearing (a simplified) version of the queen outfit that she sees herself in on legacy day and darling is in her white knight armour :)
