When I called Precious for this shoot, I had an idea in my head, but it wasn't fully formed but I knew I wanted to say something with these photos. Not in words, but in feeling. To let the image speak and allow people see what they connect to and have their own interpretation

It was more of an experiment, so we ended up doing a lot of the work ourselves. Precious went to the market on her own to get the veil, and Doyin's hands with the make up was the glue for this shoot, it was right for what we were trying to say.

Shout out to @buzzbucket for lending us the studio space and equipments to bring this vision to life

NOTICING Ep2: Lagos, forever dancing to the rhythm of possibility.

Often, we move through life on autopilot.
We pass the same streets, see the same faces, witness the same moments day after day until familiarity makes them invisible. What was once beautiful becomes ordinary, not because it changed, but because we stopped paying attention.

That's why I started this series a tiny side quest
A quiet attempt to rediscover the poetry hidden in everyday life. To document the moments we often overlook, the details we rarely pause to appreciate, and the beauty that exists in our daily routines

This is about life as it is, my everyday life, and perhaps yours too.
A reminder that beauty has always been here, waiting for us to notice it again.

A PHOTO STORY OF THE MAKING OF A SOLELY EKO SHOE

Visited the Solely Eko workshop to see what really goes into making a shoe from scratch and boy! I left with a whole new level of respect for the craft.

Every step was done with an insane level of artistry, intention and patience. And seeing the process up close made me realise how much work and mastery live behind pieces we usually only see finished on shelves or our feet. The discipline and the quiet finesse that comes with creating something by hand every single day is unmatched. by @chef_kachi
