Three years ago, I came to Green Worship as a vendor, privileged to be part of an event that uses worship as a tool to make a difference in the lives of others. This year, I returned, not only as a vendor but also as a special guest. What a beautiful reminder of how far one can come!

But beyond my personal journey, what makes Green Worship truly special is its heart for humanity.

For 20 years, Green Worship has remained committed to using the platform of worship to raise funds in support of the less privileged, particularly through organisations across Nigeria that care for persons with disabilities. That is two decades of using a gathering of people to create opportunities, provide support, and give hope to those who need it most.

There is something deeply beautiful about worship that goes beyond the songs we sing and translates into tangible acts of love, compassion, and service to humanity.

To the visionaries, organisers, and everyone who has kept this vision alive for two decades, thank you for reminding us that true impact is not just about what we do within the walls of a gathering, but what our gathering makes possible for others.

I am honoured to have been part of this journey, and I celebrate the incredible work you continue to do.

20 years of worship. 20 years of impact. 20 years of making a difference.

Here’s to many more years of lifting voices to God while extending hands of love to humanity.

POV: You and your friend compare what your lives look like at different hours of the day, and you realise you’re not even living the same life.

When I started business, I was very wary of relationships within my industry. I had heard all the stories about competition, jealousy and people being unable to genuinely support one another, so I kept my distance.

But in 2021, I had to ask myself: I have a good product, but what am I missing as a businesswoman?

The answer was relationships.

I realised that I did not know how to build genuine friendships within my industry without that fear coming to light so I was determined to change that…Joining APPOEM was one of the steps I took. I wanted to consciously put myself at the center of the community but more importantly, I wanted to meet quality people.

Today, I am deeply grateful for the beautiful relationships that have come from that decision, and to be recognised in this category truly warms my heart

Sometimes, we are so focused on how much more we need to do that we forget to acknowledge how far we have come.

To be seen, affirmed and told, “We see the work you are doing,” is a beautiful thing.

All glory to God!
