“A Feast For The Senses”

and what a feast it was….

I had the absolute honor to create a gorgeous spread inspired by one of my favorite artist @ashleylongshoreart celebrating her “ROAR” collection and Women’s History month w/ @livenationwomen at the beautiful @thesaintelle, styled by the fabulous @colson__horton w/ a bubbly bar from @veuveclicquot
to say the pleasure was mine is a severe understatement….I mean I got folks to eat their flowers so you know happy dance over here 💃🏾

Along with being incredibly inspired…I was able to incorporate some of my fellow local women gardeners, farmers, bakers, makers, & small businesses and highlight them throughout the menu. These women are just a few of many women who more than deserve to be highlighted and celebrated…more than ever it’s important to continue to support each other

I’ve been a long time admirer of Ashley and her artwork so to be able to take some of her signature nuances and paint them into each bite was a truly a dream…and has been the fire I’ve needed to keep pushing myself creatively and continue to “play with my food”. A HUGE shoutout to my bad ass team who helped me pull it off, thank you THANK YOU….you know who you are and know I love and appreciate your support.

Fall Equinox dinner via “restaurant takeover” at @lounashville September⁣ 2020…it was truly an evening I’ll never forget

… a beautiful moment of light during a time of darkness and unfolding another layer possibilities to come

one of my all time favorite quotes and words to live by…

Sharing some evening reflections and gratitude for an event well-done. Our inaugural “The Unmentionables Society” High Tea in Lingerie hosted by the beautiful Katie of @nashvilledarlin and yours truly, styled by the magical @nicolelikeflow of @theclarityshop this past Sunday.

And might I add the very FIRST EVER High Tea in lingerie experience hosted EVER (gooogle it I dare you). To say I’m soo proud is a gross understatement.

A 7-course high tea featuring tea pairings from @secretteasociety & @orateahouse…the evening was just stunning. And speaking of stunning…to all the gorgeous ladies who showed up and showed out dressed in their finest, indulging in all of their senses…thank you for letting us spoil you! Also another shout out to Katie for styling me and some of the other ladies in @kilobrava I could get used to cheffing in all that lusciousness💅🏾

Thank you to @savannahgrimm for capturing the evening in all of its glory…can’t wait to see and share the rest of the photos😍

We are already planning Spring and will announce the upcoming date and presale for our first attending members…then release the date to the public, seats will be limited so stay tuned! …you guys remember the movie “Harriet the Spy” (millennial stem activated)

and that ridiculous tomato and mayo sandwich she packed before heading to school…. that upclose shot of the unsuspecting tomato, squished to no end (they should’ve given her a sharper knife like she asked) scraping out the seed, piled haphazardly on white bread & finally slathered in mayo😩

channeling that energy today but stepped it up jusssst a smidge…

local tomato drizzled in @galenagarlic Black Garlic Balsamic (go grab you a bottle now…hurry up) & plenty of flaky salt, the yellow label Mayo (you know the one) with a few shakes of Espelette procured @spreadmarket bc I’m feeling spicy, slathered over some olive oil toasted local sourdough from one of my darling friends (you know who you are and it’s heavenly)

as a kid, watching her make this concoction, I never understood the appeal. Clearly it’s not a new concept however my naive palette just wasn’t convinced it would be good, but she was a girl who knew what she liked so who am I to judge. Fast forward and I’ve gained much appreciation for the simplicity of it all..

since bacon & lettuce are under attack 🫠what better reason than to K.I.S.S. (If you know what that stands for you get a ⭐️)simple with a nudge of whimsy for me will do it…also a great reminder to

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHOPS, BUTCHERS, AND FARMERS MARKETS.

one of earth’s beautiful delacies…packed with all sorts of yummy benefits (IYKYK🙂‍↔️)….ice cold briny liquor…umami notes cut with a hint acid from lime/lemon or one’s favorite hot sauce…a bit of extra texture with snipped pickled peppers atop a velvety pillow…

If you must insist on chewing (free will and all) then I suggest one or two bites but my preference..”bottoms up” like a nice glass of bubbles…

either way…I dare you to indulge…feed your inner mermaid 🧜🏾‍♀️ and celebrate all the pleasures
