Cooking for a birthday trip in Scottsdale, AZ! I don’t get requests for individually plated dinners often so this was such a fun menu! @ilaurenrud0lph killed it! ♥️

How I learned how to cut a bell pepper in culinary school! 🫑 My brain doesn’t do well with disorder and lack of uniformity so this method works perfectly for me 👩🏼‍🍳

Cooking for a women’s retreat in Paradise Valley, getting to mentor someone I’ve known for 13 years and ending the night at In-n-Out. Pretty good day I’d say! 😛👩🏼‍🍳

My knife roll as a private chef 🔪

I’m still learning SO much about knives and I think that’s part of why I love them so much. I didn’t go into the restaurant industry after culinary school, so a lot of what I know about knives has come from asking questions, talking to people who know way more than me and getting my hands on as many knives as I can. I am very much not a knife expert 😂 I just really love them and love learning about them.

My kit has changed a lot as I’ve figured out what I actually need for the work I do. If you’re in Phoenix, Phoenix Knife House has been such a great resource for me while I’ve built out my kit. I’ve learned a ton from them and I love being able to support a local business.

Buy it once, keep it forever. Working as a private chef, I’ve destroyed so many cheap aprons that frayed or thinned out within a few months. Upgrading to @hedleyandbennett changed that! They hold up wash after wash, handle long days in the kitchen effortlessly and are backed by a Lifetime Guarantee. Worth every penny if you cook a lot.
