To build something, you MUST break ground! Yesterday was the start of a four day intense session on The Business of Baking .. something that I have been working on for over two years, collating my cumulative experience of 20 years on building my own business from home and taking it to the world stage as of today. I visualise being able to support and expedite the growth trajectory of similar home based businesses and help them build the foundation of a successful business that they can be proud of. Yesterday was Day 1, with our pilot batch of this one of a kind Masterclass. We broke down barriers, dug deep into our very souls, found meaning into why we do what we do. Three more days to go and I’m excited for the infinite possibilities that await my precious pilot batch. Yes ... We DREAM IT. BUILD IT.. AND OWN IT !!! by @chefgauri

Things you didn’t know about me, the funny edition 😂 My OCD has an OCD 🌈 Aunties still think my cheeks are public property 🫠 Please. Don’t. Call me. Madam. 🙄 The first bite of anything? Mine. Non-negotiable 🍰 And no, I won’t share. Don’t even look at my plate 🍴 It’s CONFECT. Not cunfect. And definitely DESSERT, not desert 🏜️ Unfiltered. Unapologetic. Still a chef. 🤍 Which one are you? Drop the number 👇 (Tag the friend who ALWAYS steals the first bite 👀) #ChefGauri #ThingsYouDidntKnowAboutMe #FunnyReels #RelatableReels #ChefLife PastryChef FounderLife WomenInBusiness DelhiFoodie CakeDecorating Confect DessertNotDesert NoFilter IndianCreators ReelsIndia by @chefgauri
This one’s for every home baker and cake maker I’ve met on this journey. 🤍 It had to be said. When the house finally goes quiet, it changes owner. 👑🧙‍♀️ Fridge raids with zero guilt. Netflix with no rewinding. And finally… silence. Every woman deserves her witching hour. 🖤 👇 What’s the first thing YOU do when the house goes quiet? *#HappyHalloween #WitchingHour #HomeBakers #MeTime #WomenInBusiness ChefGauri* by @chefgauri
Okay, I’m letting you in. 🤫 15 things most people don’t know about me. Some are funny, some are a little raw, and one involves Dev Anand. 🎬 Real talk: I used to hide half of these. The average marks, the weight, the “she’s too much” energy. Now I think they’re the best parts of the story. Let’s play 👇 💬 Comment the slide number that shocked you most. 🙋‍♀️ Tell me one thing about YOU that nobody would ever guess. 🔁 Send this to the friend who also has no filter. I’m replying to every single one, so don’t be shy. 🤍 *#ThingsYouDidntKnowAboutMe #ChefGauri #Unfiltered #WomenFounders #FounderStory RealTalk IndianEntrepreneur Confect WomenInBusiness GetToKnowMe* by @chefgauri
Nobody tells you that building something new means explaining it… over and over again. 😅 For years I’ve been the person at the party who can’t answer “So what do you do?” in one sentence. This one’s for anyone who has ever had to defend their dream to people who didn’t get it yet. The blank looks. The “but is it a real job?” The polite smiles. Keep going. One day they’ll ask you where they can order it. 🎂🤍 Part 2 of The Lonely Life of an Entrepreneur. Watch Part 1 if you missed it 👆 👇 What’s the one thing people never understand about what YOU do? #ThingsNoOneTellsYou #WomenFounders #SharkTankIndia #Confect #FounderStory ChefGauri MadeInIndia IndianStartup EntrepreneurLife WomenInBusiness BuildingInPublic by @chefgauri
No big fat Indian wedding for me. No baraat, no pheras, no 3-hour bridal makeup. So every Karva Chauth, I make up for it 😌 Mehndi the night before. Chooda I’ll never take off on time. Jhumkas, haar, the maang tikka that takes four tries to get dead centre. Fasting all day, getting ready all day, because honestly, what else is a girl supposed to do till the moon shows up? 🌙 Every year, a new bride. Same groom 🤍 Tell me I’m not the only one who treats Karva Chauth like her own wedding day 👇 #KarvaChauth #KarvaChauth2026 #BrideEveryYear #DesiBride #Shringaar BigFatIndianWedding ChefGauri by @chefgauri
Since 2014, once a year, I hold up a sieve, wait for the moon… and end up looking at him instead 🌙😌 Some years I was secretly pregnant and “glowing”, some years I was a brand-new mum, one year I fasted on my own birthday (still not over it), and one year I did the whole thing in pyjamas. Moon: always late. Me: always hungry. Him: still the best view through that sieve 🤍 Round 13 this Thursday. Who else is fasting with me? 👇 #KarvaChauth #KarvaChauth2026 #ThroughTheYears #MarriedLife #ChefGauri by @chefgauri
“So… what do you do?” 🙃 Honestly, I’ve learnt to dread that question. I say chef. Which hotel? Pastry chef. Can I order a cake? Food technologist. Like Blinkit? Then they open my Instagram… “Oh. Influencer.” 🫠 Every single time it becomes a five-minute conversation, because none of those boxes fit. Nobody tells you this about building something new: when you pick a path no one has walked, there’s no word for what you do yet. Part 2 is coming. Who I really am 🤍 👇 Tell me: what’s the question YOU dread at parties? #ThingsNoOneTellsYou #EntrepreneurLife #WomenFounders #FounderStory #ChefGauri PastryChef FoodTechnologist IndianEntrepreneur WomenInBusiness BuildingInPublic ChefLife Relatable by @chefgauri
Our favourite Thai finally lives in Delhi 🤍 For the past year, Nara meant a 3-hour round trip to Gurgaon for one meal, and we still made it about 3 times a year. That was us showing love. @narathaiindia Now it’s at Worldmark, Aerocity, and we made it on its very first weekend in the city. Picked him up straight off a 16-hour flight from NYC → welcome back din din 🥂 What we had: 🍸 The Tom Yum: hands down the best cocktail in Delhi 🥗 Grilled chicken salad 🦀 Soft shell crab with garlic 🍤 Butterfly prawns ×2 (one plate was entirely Ivaahn’s) 🍖 Pork ribs: my favourite, always 🍜 Stir-fried lamb, chicken fried rice & chilli basil chicken noodles 🍮 Classic crème brûlée 🍫 A “Welcome Home” chocolate crepe stack 🥹 The John Dory is my other favourite, but there were serious space constraints. Next time. No more 3-hour trips. We’ll be seeing a lot of you, Nara. 📍Nara Thai, Worldmark Aerocity, New Delhi #NaraThai #Aerocity #Worldmark #DelhiFood #DelhiRestaurants ThaiFood NewInDelhi WelcomeHome FamilyDinner ChefGauri by @chefgauri
Did you know The New York Times and Condé Nast Traveller both raved about a restaurant hidden down a lane in Bhaktapur? 🤍 This is @tusa_nepal . It’s a restored Newari house with just 28 seats and one open-fire kitchen. The team spent five years travelling across Nepal to build this menu, and fermentation is their secret. The chefs came from Noma, Dubai and Sydney, and you can see it in every plate. Course after course, sauces were poured right at our table: millet, nettle, yak, rhododendron. Everything comes from Nepal’s own soil. As a chef, this is the kind of meal that reminds me why I fell in love with food. It was local, deeply rooted and plated like art. My verdict? Worth the trip to Bhaktapur. ✨ Save this for your Nepal list 📌 and tell me: would you travel just for a meal? #Tusa #Bhaktapur #Nepal #NepalFood #NewariCuisine FineDining TastingMenu ChefGauri FoodTravel KathmanduValley Fermentation ChefsTable TravelNepal RestaurantReview EatTheWorld by @chefgauri
