I haven’t dropped music in I don’t know how long.Let alone recorded music in God knows when.Everybody tells me to drop music. Release new music. I haven’t dropped a project in what? 3-4 years, and honestly, I just haven’t had the desire to do it.Part of that is due to my growing relationship with the Lord.As I’ve gotten closer to Jesus, my perspective has changed, not just on the music I listen to, but the type of music I’d want to make. People always encourage me to make music that satisfies the Lord, and it’s not that I don’t want to do that. It’s just that music overall doesn’t fulfill me the way it once did. Listening or creating. My purpose has become so much bigger than rap. And I mean that in the most humblest way. And I hope that inspires anyone else to explore others avenues as well. I’ve found something I genuinely love doing, and that’s creating. Not just creating music. Creating everything. Movies, commercials, content,Turning things that interest me into creative projects.I wake up every day and get paid to be creative. I get on the phone with Roger and we spend hours coming up with ideas. And I’m so thankful God placed my brother in my life because he sees everything I’m capable of doing. He knows it’s deeper than rap.I can’t limit myself to one lane anymore because my creativity stretches far beyond hip hop.But every now and then, I still get that itch.And one person who’s helped keep that spark alive is brother Tane. Seeing my brother flourish and become everything we always knew he could be has been motivating.This video is old to some, new to many. A lot of y’all have followed me for years and have never even seen me release music. My fault. But understand this: It’s not that I’ll never drop music again. It’s not that hip hop doesn’t still have a place in my heart. It’s just that my purpose has grown beyond music, and it’s hard for me to focus solely on it. But one day there will be a season where I lock back in.Maybe that season is soon. Maybe it isn’t. But until then, this is my explanation to the day 1’s who have been waiting on me.Thank you for the patie by @chefgeech
