I was starving and @ghosttownbrewing answered. While meandering in the Laurel District looking for food I discovered a wonderful surprise tucked away next door to the corner store on 35th n Mac. I was transported into a mini beer garden with good vibes and surprisingly good food portioned for a big appetite. Pictured here I had the shrimp burger w/salad and a #12 Hazy IPA. Shrimp burger was seasoned well and the salad was dressed to kill. I 10/10 recommend if ur in the area and want a good brewski and a bite. by @chefiesha

If you’re ever in the Downtown Oakland area and looking for something new to try I would highly recommend @lucumakitchenoak. They are definitely popping and reservations are recommended. #oaklandrestaurants #dining #eatreal #trending by @chefiesha

Happy 6th Birthday 🎂🎉🎁🎈 to my youngest baby that’s no longer my baby 🥺😩. My Sugar Loaf is one of the sweetest sour kids in the world. I wouldn’t trade him for anything. Love him to pieces even when he is testing my patience 😘 by @chefiesha

Every time I turn around you’re taking another trip around the sun happy 24th Birthday (wow mad crazy saying ur 24 😩). I love you to the moon and back. Thanks for being my first born 😘🎉🎂🎊🎁🥳 @miabahama ❤️🫶🏽 by @chefiesha

I almost missed out on #nationaldaughtersday. These two pieces are peas (literally) in a pod and I love them both fiercely. @miabahama by @chefiesha

The kids wanted tacos and I felt like indulging in some fried food so I thought 💡 Fried Stuffed Tacos!

This was everything I wanted. Slightly spicy, cheesy, crispy and just plain yummy 🤤 😋.

I imagine I will be making these again, but maybe next time regular samosa filling/spices.

ps- yes those are Chipotle napkins iykyk 😂

pss- how to say you shop @target without saying you shop at target 🤣

I had to do a review of @malayatearoom in Alameda. This was my first time having afternoon tea and I was impressed.

We arrived and were greeted with our table already set up. All we had to do was select our tea and types of sandwiches.

The tea was brought out and served in the cutest tea cups and they also offered a kids hot chocolate for my daughter.

We ordered the Salmon (my favorite), Turkey n Brie and the Coconut Jam tea sandwiches. This was served with cute desserts and our tea.

I 10/10 recommend and be sure to make reservations. by @chefiesha

I’m blessed to have a daughter that is kind, selfless and sweet. I can’t believe that 23 years has flown by. We’ve had good times and bad but I love you to the moon and back. Thank you for loving me and challenging me to be better. You have become more than just a daughter to me, but a friend. I ❤️ you @miabahama HAPPY BDAY by @chefiesha

It’s been so long since I posted and of course I missed filming some steps 😝 This was my @hungryroot x @target mashup for lunch today.
.
.
I decided to use the refried black beans as my base. Then I sautéed a few shrimp and the spinach with some onion and garlic the seasoned with chili lime seasoning. Layered everything then topped it with some cheese and finished with a drizzle of chimichurri and Parm.

This was quick easy and delicious and @hungryroot made it that much easier by shipping healthy ready to cook options.

In case you were wondering I’m still here y’all 😝
.
.
Wanted something yummy and creamy and umami so I went to the fridge and pulled out chicken thighs (bone in are a must for me) mushrooms, onion, garlic, milk (because I had no cream), cream cheese 🤫 and some Parm. Then 🤯 magic in my mouth. I never eat this much pasta but y’all I ate the whole thing greedily. Had the itis after this one 😂

I don’t always have the time to do it all from scratch especially with a busy toddler at home.
.
This quick and easy chili and cornbread (recipe coming later) is packed full of flavor and there’s no soaking beans involved.
.
2 Cans of 3 Bean
1 lb ground meat of choice (or no meat for vegan)
1 small onion
4-5 cloves of garlic
1 Jalapeño (I remove rib and seeds but if you like it 🥵)
2 Tablespoons of tomato paste
1 can diced tomatoes
1 Package of chili seasoning (normally I use cumin, chili powder, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt n pepper)
8 oz of water
Simmer on medium for 20-30 mins
Green onion, cilantro, cheese and sour cream to garnish
.
Serve it up and enjoy! by @chefiesha
