Never did i ever. Think I would have to post such a thing nor do I want to now. I am literally fighting for my life. My nephew lost his life in a car accident. His services will be on his birthday, Wednesday, June 3rd. Send the love, send the prayers and send peace. This ain’t easy by no means.

Now let’s get into this food!!!! I promised all my family that I would absolutely NOT cook or work on my birthday. If you know me at all then you know that I had to find a Chef. A great one!!! Enters @_chefbri__

I searched beyonces internet like a crazy person. Picked and unpicked a bunch of Chefs. No shade to them at all but I know who I’m dealing with (me lol) and I know what I want. Not JUST aesthetically but also esthetically. My friends love food so it had to be good.

The cool part is, that my God is in everything. I had a consultation with Bri and we immediately clicked. She got the assignment and we had a few kee kee’s about clients, but bigger than that, we started chatting about family. 🥰 This event solidified her and her mom doing their first event together ON MOTHERS DAY, which was my actual birthday. She brought her mom, her brothers (alll amazingly professional and kind). She has an amazing work ethic, business acumen and just all around kin spirit. I’m grateful to have crossed paths with you sis!!

50 HERE!!! When I think of the fact that I am now 50 whole years old, I’m soo shocked. However, I thoroughly embrace it. Every single part of my life has made the woman I am today. The bad things, the sad things, the complicated things, every single person, place and thing has helped to shaped me. And guess what? I’m not mad at any of it.

Theeeee BIGGEST emotion I feel in this moment is Gratitude! On last week 16 beautiful humans found it not robbery to join me in Destin, FL to celebrate me. I’ll get into all the thanks in another post but just know I love you all soo much. This was THEEE very first vacation that I have been on, as an adult, where I was truly unplugged and disconnected from my phone and laptop. Thank you everyone for your wishes, calls, texts, posts, etc. They truly meant the world. Love you!!!

Some days I feel so young and silly and other days my body reminds me of my age. lol. No worries there is a plan in place for that. The biggest lesson I have learned in all these years is that Joy is a choice. No matter what I have gone through and am currently being lead through, I CHOOSE JOY!! Every day.

It’s time!! Thank you everyone who reached out! Thanksgiving orders are now open! This year I will be taking a limited orders. However, In this trying time, it is necessary and essential that we give back to our community. Therefore, I am giving away 5 free meals to families in need.
