So here we are with another visiting to @vshospitality! This is my first time trying the Tuna Toast. At first I thought it ok BUT as I continued to eat it, I realized the complexity of flavors; tomatoes, celery, CAPERS! Drizzled with some balsamic overtop of it all. It was so good! 8/10. I think the Smoked Salmon toast still reigns champion for me but excited to try the next piece of toast soon.

I made this bomb Beef Stir Fry, paired with celery, carrots, and mushrooms! It was simple, yet delicious as stir fry receipts general need on pan or wok. I was craving a beef stir fry and it hit the spot! I hope you enjoy the video and stay tuned for some more cooking and good eats.

Happy Monday! Sometimes you got to keep it simple. Clearly, breakfast foods are some of my favorites. I have a lot of favorites lol but anyways I ate some stuff of the weekend that messed up my stomach. Today I must reset so I have a simple over medium eggs, bacon, and crab cake, with some mushroom broccolini, and a watermelon slush. Hits the spot 🙌🏾

I was craving a NY Strip steak on Memorial Day! Made a compound pesto butter to rest on top of it. The steak came out to be medium well BUT I tenderized it beforehand so it was still juicy and flavorful like I like it. I also threw together a wet salad consisting of hummus and my cucumber salad. You can’t see it, but I put the steak overtop some store bought tortellini. Delicious!!

The other day I was deboning some chicken thighs (my favorite cut) and there was a lot of meat still on the bone. I was going to freeze them to do something with it later but I decided to throw it in the crock pot to make some chicken soup! I added the classic onions, carrots, and celery to it. Growing up I wasn’t a fan a mushrooms but now I love them so I added those, as well. I also added some bacon fat to it for some extra umami. I’ve made chicken soup a few times in the past but this has got to be the best one yet! Later on I might add some pasta but for now it’ll be carb-less.

A few weeks ago, my friend had a going away park date and someone was so generous to bring this beautiful charcuterie board! All of us brought something but this had to be the grandest going away gesture ❤️ and it was so delicious btw! Food is the love language that is cultural worldwide.

Another post for one of my favorite spot around town, Toastique! Craving this Lox Toast real bad! I thought it wouldn’t top the Crab Toast but it did! Easy 9.3/10. I’ll be there this weekend to get my fix!

So the actual salad that I had today is something I make pretty often. Rather, a go to! It consists of a boiled eggs, bacon, and cucumber salad (that I make once a week and snack on when I’m hungry). During the week I eat pretty much “clean”. I don’t indulge in many grain or starches, and while everything I make is delicious, it helps to support me while I’ve been cutting to loose weight. It contains my veggies, protein, and fats all in one bowl. Also, for me, none of these ingredients trigger my IBS. A Win x3. Since the top of the year I’m 26+ pound down from 190.

Cucumber Salad recipe:

2 Cucumbers
1/2 Red Onion
8 oz Banana peppers with liquid
8 oz Olives with liquid
2 tbsp Salt
Tbsp Parsley, Basil, Oregano, and Sage each (or to preference)

Mix together in a bowl. Takes best after a day in the fridge and can last for 2 weeks (or more if you don’t mind the cucumbers getting soggy)

Happy Monday everyone! Today’s presentation is one of my favorite salads, Niçoise Salad! @whollywood makes the best one. It’s a mustard based dressing with perfectly cooked tuna, potatoes, arugula, tomatoes, boiled eggs, and picker onions! Easily a 9.3/10 for me! I’ve never attempted to make it but maybe I should!

Breakfast/brunch might be my favorite foods to eat without thinking! You can’t beat a Lox situation either! I got this Lox Toast from @shortstorieshotels an awhile back and it was divine. Also, the ambiance was cool. It’s time to make visit!
