Cooking two weeks of rush was definitely a first for me! 🔥🍽️ Lots of grilled proteins to keep this hungry crew happy and well feed. 🥩🍗
Getting to meet and welcome all the new live-ins before the school year officially kicked off was an extra treat for me. Always fun putting faces to the names and getting to know the newest members of the house.
Now I’ve got one week to catch my breath… then I’m right back at it! 😅👩‍🍳

New dish alert! 🚨🌿
Vietnamese Lemongrass Chicken Vermicelli has officially made the menu! At first glance, it might look like some of our other dishes, but trust me—it’s definitely not. 😋
The Nước Chấm dipping sauce is packed with sugar, fish sauce, lime juice, ghost, habaneros, and jalapeños peppers🌶️🔥. Served with Vietnamese pickles carrot and daikon for that perfect sweet, tangy crunch.
This one is definitely making the lineup for next school year! 🇻🇳🍜

Currently obsessed with focaccia… so obviously I had to make it again! 😂🍞
Tonight’s lineup: fettuccine Alfredo, herbed chicken, garlic green beans, cucumber salad, and that glorious focaccia.

I’ll never stop cooking pork, but let’s be honest... unless it’s bacon, it can be a tough sell. 😂

I love a perfectly grilled boneless pork chop, this was marinated in pineapple and soy sauce, then grilled and served with grilled pineapple, roasted potatoes, and broccoli. I’m almost positive I’ll be take a few home for leftovers! 🥩🍍🥦

There’s just something about baking fresh bread. 🥖 Today’s homemade focaccia came out perfectly—golden and fluffy. I was quite proud of myself. It definitely stole the show!
Served alongside a classic lasagna layered with béchamel sauce, green beans, and a Caesar salad. I love days like this.❤️

I can’t believe it’s been four years already.

Another year in the books, and it’s time to say not goodbye, but best of luck to our Seniors. It’s time to move on to bigger things and starts doing all those adult responsibilities. Although this one is not a fan of fish, I’ll let that slide. 😉 From start to finish @_jamesmckechnie has been nothing but a gentleman. He even surprised me with flowers and a thoughtful thank-you card, such a class act.

After graduating with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, he’s accepted a position with Boeing. I’d say that’s a pretty great way to launch a career.

Congratulations, James! Wishing you success, happiness, and all the best in this next chapter. The future looks bright. ✈️ 🎓

Kirin has a special place in my heart with his love of food, enthusiasm for cooking, and willingness to jump into the kitchen when needed. For the past year, he’s been living in Japan teaching English, and he’s loved the experience so much that he’s decided to continue with the program for the next year.

What an incredible opportunity to live, work, and immerse yourself in another culture. Seeing former students chase their passions and create amazing experiences around the world makes me love this job even more.

Wishing him nothing but success on his next adventure. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🇯🇵🍜✈️

The weather is getting warm and it’s time for some bruschetta chicken! I have a guy in the house who has become obsessed with making bread and today was the day! Fresh focaccia bread with tomatoes and rosemary. Of course there’s alway quality control so I had to taste test. Let’s just say chef approved.
