the very best bites with life & love in between.

here are some of the best things i've eaten this past lunar year. food has always served as an integral component in building lasting connection, solidarity, & resistance within my life against global capitalist society. if you're a homie of mine, a neighbor, a sibling, or a loved one you know how we get down. food is medicine and there's nothing quite like a home cooked meal, nothing comparable to the handpicked garden greens from your beloved or receiving game as a gift from a friend's first of the season hunt. what has nourished and shaped me is a reflection of the relationship between the earth & those to tend to the land. food is offering. food is preservation of love. food is ancestor veneration. i pray that we see the fruits of our labor through devotion of the ways in which we practice preserving life. taken in New York, New York by @dinnerpartybk

Been tending to this menu since Star @priestusssy initially invited @kumpapey in the beginning of July. 🤍🤍🤍

Please join us Saturday, August 12th for a summer block party in concert with the gallery's summer exhibitions.

Live music, performances, and poetry readings by Edgar Fabián Frías, Vaughan Larsen, Marcel Monroy, Priestusssy, Cielo Saucedo, and Sammie Veeler.

Food and drink vendors will be on site for purchase.
