9 years spent celebrating at some of the best festivals + places to eat and drink in the country 🇺🇸 my favorite part— The Top Chef experience🧑‍🍳💯 we kicked off the Best of the Chef’s tour with one of our favorites, LA native— Las Vegas Top Chef— Sterling Buckley👨🏾‍🍳 @palatelasvegas in the Arts District —Making his mark in the Las Vegas community at La Cave at the Wynn (Executive Chef), Gordon Ramsay Steak (Executive Chef), Honeysalt (Executive Chef) and Momofuku (Executive Sous Chef), as well as being seen nationally on “Chopped” by Food Network. 🔪

Congratulations to @palatelasvegas @artsdistrictlv @downtownlasvegas — and to Managing Partners @marisasmartino and @culture_hour, General Manager @genebelvis, Executive Chef @chefsterlingbuck and more — on their official first anniversary yesterday (Saturday, June 28). Palate hosted a celebration last Sunday that was fabulous. My brother @cchareunsy and I returned to Palate yesterday morning for brunch: the new truffle egg toast, chicken biscuits with house chips and the board Morning Glory — banana bread French toast, potato rosti, pork belly, frittata, foie cornbread, maple butter and carrot jam — plus coffee and cotton candy with the check. 😋😋😋 And kudos to servers Zach and Cole. Congratulations to @palatelasvegas @artsdistrictlv @dtlv on its first-anniversary celebration Sunday late afternoon and early evening, with Owners @marisasmartino and @culture_hour, Executive Chef @chefsterlingbuck and GM @genebelvis and more onsite for the fabulous soirée! At the party with @charleschareunsy, @judenazzy and @tommymbassett: a ginormous charcuterie table with vegetables, chips, chicharrones, pita, hummus and more; a decadent dessert table with chocolate crispies, cookies, banana bread, cotton candy and more; prosecco, rose, tequila tasting, wine, beer, seltzer and the cocktails Margaritaville, Wagyu Old Fashioned, The Rose and Purple Rain (alcoholic Halo Halo!); fellow guests @gui_vegas and @dinkcuisine; a proclamation from Mayor @berkley4mayor; and more. Thanks also to server Zach, bartender Edgar, @dj_tmyk and more for a super-fun party! 12 years of unity with not just my wife but my best friend. We have grown together, learned together and challenged each other. What I love about our relationship is we learn from our mistakes and keep trying to get better. Thank you for always being by my side, especially through everything that has happened in the last 2 years. You know that you have something special when life can throw everything at you and you still come out together. My partner in life, business, marriage, parenting and so many other things. 😋 COMING SOON: During this past weekend’s Chalk It Down! festival in the @artsdistrictlv, attendees got a delicious preview of @palatelasvegas.

The modern Americana restaurant is slated to open next month at The Colorado building, which is shaping up to be an exciting development that’s already home to @swandivelv and @barginzalv.

At the chalk art festival, Chef Sterling Buckley and the Bar-Kada Hospitality team served a unique take on the traditional boa bun, made with pulled pork on a cornbread bao bun and drizzled with a sweet hoisin sauce. We almost doubled back for seconds (and thirds), but didn’t wanna be greedy.

Did you try one while you were there?

It was the perfect teaser, and we’re excited to see what’s to come from Palate.
