2,646 days since we moved in together
1,891 days since I asked you for forever
1,826 days since we said “I do”
1,809 days since we moved to NYC
1,089 days since we said “I do” again

And 0 days since I’ve fallen in love with you all over again, like I have on every single one of those days.

You are my person. You are my home. You are my everything. I have treasured every single day that I’ve been lucky enough to spend with you. Here’s to the thousands and thousands of days to come. Not a single one will ever be long enough to truly feel like I get as much of you as I need or want.

The first Sunday in May was a very special day. We had been playing with the idea of doing a big outdoor dinner with friends and thinking of possibly starting a once a month “Supper Club” of sorts and we had finally decided to do it.

A good 6 to 8 weeks of planning, gardening, cleaning, organizing, workshopping, gardening, curating, ordering (and returning 🙄), ordering again, MORE gardening... Lengthy late night discussions about the small details. It was intense. It was overwhelming. But it was SO much fun, because WE were doing this together. And we hadn’t even reached the actual dinner date yet.

I have some 20 years of restaurant experience, however my wife has never worked in the industry. Yet, from how this dinner turned out, you would never know. The work and dedication that my wife put into making this an incredibly special experience was nothing short of monumental.

Every detail was thought of, nothing was missed. The table-scapes, the flowers, name cards and printed menus (big shout out to Staples for the horrible customer service. It was a whole thing. Don’t ask). Everything. Perfect. Even the way when serving wine you made sure to give your tasting notes before pouring everyone a glass was just beautiful.

And after all that effort and planning, it rained. The whole dinner. Just poured. But you figured it out, you kept everyone dry (mostly, sorry Stephen) and more importantly, you killed it. Absolutely crushed it.

I adore you and I can’t thank you enough for all the hard work and planning you did. The hours and days of work and thought that were put in to this so we could do this together is such an incredible show of love and support and I cannot thank you enough. You’re my everything. ♥️ by @cheftylerbraun

Heidi, it doesn’t feel like 11 years… remembering you today with a few of your favorites, a good laugh and a tear. Thank you for being a huge part of why I am who I am. I love you and miss you, sis ♥️

A quick whirlwind stop in Madrid on our trip through Spain! Ate more jamón Ibérico than I am willing to admit 🤤 such a beautiful city with very kind people and amazing food. Definitely coming back for a longer stay next time. Now off to Murcia!
