✨️Today, we're incredibly honoured to share that Chef Wong has been featured by SBS Chinese.

What started as a family dream has become something much bigger than we ever imagined.

When our father and master dim sum chef was diagnosed with cancer, we made the difficult decision to leave our corporate and hospital careers to learn from him and continue the craft he had spent over 50 years perfecting. Every fold, every pleat, every recipe carries his teachings and passion.

As more traditional dim sum masters retire, these skills risk being lost. Our mission has never just been about serving food—it has always been about preserving the art of handmade Cantonese dim sum for future generations.

Being recognised by SBS is an incredible honour, not just for our family, but for everyone who values tradition, craftsmanship and authentic Cantonese cuisine.

🌟 It takes one person to start and a whole village to continue 🌟

Hospitality is certainly not for the faint hearted! It requires strong will, courage, patience and above all, the desire to fight to survive this challenging culinary world.

We didn't leave the 9–5 life to work less.

We left it to work 25 hours a day, 8 days a week, 168 hours a week! 🤣

@chefwong_aus is now in Point Cook!! 🥟✨ So you know I had to take Mum to go try it out 💞🫶🏻

And @bep.ba8 definitely had LOTS to say 😂 Would you guys want to see a more detailed mukbang/review with Mum? 👀

Overall, we really enjoyed everything we tried, but our favourites were definitely the BBQ pork pastry and the prawn & scallop dumpling 🤤🥢

I’m honestly so happy they’ve opened in Point Cook because this means I don’t have to drive all the way to the other side of town whenever I’m craving quality yum cha 🙌🏻

One thing Mum especially loved was that you can order dumplings by the piece! Such a simple thing, but it makes dining with odd numbers SO much easier. No more having to agree on one basket to share, everyone can just order the dumplings they actually want and try a bit of everything 🥹💗

Husband & wife duo — does it work in business? ❤️

For us, yes 💯

Why? Because at the end of the day, we’re working towards the same goal 🫡. We share the same vision, give each other space to do what we’re good at, and support each other when things get tough.

Running a family business together isn’t always easy. There are long days, odd hours and plenty of disagreements 😂

But when you’re building something together, as a family, it makes all the hard work worth it.
