This team started with a little friendly recruiting.

Brandon Burt of Suburban Contemporary Furniture and Ronette Wallace of OTW Interiors are making their Design Appétit debut thanks in part to returning creative Chef Zach Hutton of The Old Ice House, a friend of Brandon’s who encouraged him to join this year’s lineup.

Now they’re turning that friendship into Autumn Brilliance.

Their palette layers rich merlot, dark green, warm orange and gold with dramatic black, walnut, metallics and organic textures—all designed to create what the team calls luxurious warmth.

Think modern comfort, harvest colors, warm light, great food and the kind of setting that keeps friends around the table a little longer.

Design Appetit Team Spotlight: Featuring two participants that aren’t actually paired with each other, but will be part of the event with team mates that have already been featured.

Chef Zach Hutton — James Beard Award nominee, Chopped winner, and culinary force behind The Old Icehouse — brings deep Oklahoma roots and real grit to the kitchen. @chefzachhutton grew up on a cattle ranch in Apache, learned to cook from his grandmother’s recipes, and rebuilt his career after health challenges to lean fully into his passion for local, thoughtful food. He’s now turning toward Mexico for his Design Appetit menu, bringing the spirit of bold flavors, tradition, and edge to the event and will be partnered with the ladies of Focus on Home.

On the flip side, we’re spotlighting the Focus on Home Teen Board — a group of passionate high school students from across the area who help drive the vision of Focus on Home. Led by Debbie Margo, of Debbie Margo Interiors, they’ll partner with Chef Alain Buthion (La Baguette) to bring Morocco to life! @1016annemarie offers her design expertise and community spirit to guide the next generation and we are proud of what they’re doing!
