'breathe!' EP Out Now!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m so excited to share that my first EP ‘breathe!’ is dropping May 16th. Peep the bio to pre-save. I’m incredibly grateful to be sitting here and appreciating every breath🙏🏾I grew accustomed to the dark being the only home I was deserving of, hurting myself and others.

But I feel extremely guilty to have been so unappreciative of the gift of life I was given when people are currently fighting every day to survive. When I hit the worst rock bottom, He heard me, and Alhamdulillah I have been making efforts daily to strengthen my faith. Take a small step towards The Most High and He runs towards you.

Thank you @amirimikel for these amazing beats, @bigflowersguy for the dope cover art, @ipkissme for your mixing on “Abbot’ and ‘All2gether’, AlexKProduction for mixing the rest of the tracks, and all my friends and loved ones who gave me a kind word when I needed it and didn’t let me slip away.

To you guys who have been supporting and waiting for me to release, I’ll be getting back to work soon and will try not to take a 4-year hiatus again😅. Peace!✌🏾

Murmur Hi-Fi is bringing intentional, high-fidelity listening to downtown Providence.

Co-owner Robert Troutman draws inspiration from Japanese kissatens, creating a space that centers music as a deliberate, collective experience.

I started writing this song at the beginning of the year with the intention of also dropping it around the new year (hence the title) the funny thing is that life doesn’t move on our time. Man plans and God laughs.

Sometimes life forces you into a “dark night of the soul” after you’ve been looking everywhere outside yourself for answers. Distractions, people’s validation, temporary fixes. Nothing in your external world can change until you address what’s inside.

When you finally turn inward, and start noticing and acknowledging the unmasked you, but not judging or condemning, you start to see what’s been waiting to grow.

Sometimes you can handle life, but life is ALWAYS going to handle you. Regardless of the individual circumstances, staying stagnant is the worst thing you can do. You have to push forward even when all you can do is look inside and stare directly into the things that hurt because bettering yourself is always worth the pain. And sometimes it takes a week but it can also take a lifetime. It’s not a linear process, there’s peaks and valleys. No matter how long it takes….Never. Stay. Down. Keep getting back up, keep growing, and always keep improving. Time is an illusion and you can become a new and improved person no matter what point in time we think it is. Even if your “new year” is August 28th.

A huge shoutout to:
@feralg222 for the assist on this beat I’ve had sitting in the vault for years

And my brother:
@yusufadji.arts for always believing in my vision and using your talents to bring it to life with your art.

Here’s to more growth and attacking life instead of letting life happen to you. “New Year” out now on all streaming platforms I hope y’all like it. ✌🏾 by @cheikhthemessage

Staying consistent with never dropping music when I intend to, “New Year” dropping on all platforms August 28. It was a new year when I recorded it, things happen🙈. Let’s just say it’s for New Year’s 2026. Leave a 🌌 if you feel like you been starting to find your balance lately.🌖 by @cheikhthemessage

Last night. I really swear this is my best verse I ever wrote, but I’m only ever out here trying to outdo my self. My pandemic baby ‘Promise’ still streaming everywhere so go peep that if you should wish.

And we got a single and another short luh EP coming soon. Torn on the name for the EP so vote to lemme know which one you prefer.

Big ups to @publicnotprivate for hosting this dope event and providing a space for people to connect, showcase intimate parts of themselves, and spark conversations. 🙌🏾

I dropped myself into a video game! “Praying Enough” OUT NOW on all streaming platforms , thank you so much to everyone that’s tapped in already🙏🏾🔥🎶

I made this 8-bit instrumental version of Praying Enough just for fun— idk if everybody knows this, but my beat production is inspired by everything from jazz to classical and of course really good video game soundtracks! I used to listen to OSTs to study to.😅🎮✨Shoutout to the Legend of Zelda & Kingdom Hearts, if you know you know! 👾💥

I really do wanna make a video game one day tho. What are y’alls favorite video game soundtracks? Lemme know in the comments!👇👇👇

And lemme know what music y’all wanna hear next!
