This past month, I had the incredible opportunity to style the wardrobe for the immensely talented @nycgoblin at @happypplstudio ! ✨🌟 Taking inspiration from the visionary Nancy, I embarked on a creative journey to craft a stunning Giant Silk Bow 🎀✨ for the photo shoot. You know those moments where you’re like “wait 💡🤔….if they can do it then why can’t I do it too?!?” Drawing inspiration from the innovative designer @bad_binch_tongtong and their Campy/Avant-garde style, I delved into creating this unique piece. Their oversized bows have always captivated me, and I channeled that energy into this project with a keen eye for detail. Happy to share that it was a ultimate success. 🩷🥰 The outpouring of positive feedback and support has been truly heartwarming. This project not only affirmed my skills but also provided a much-needed escape to a peaceful realm amidst the chaos of our world. 🌍🔥💔 Once again, art has been my savior. ☯️ by @chelbrea

Moments after shooting these intimate scenes, I sat with Juliet and reflected on the meaning behind the image—what it was truly reaching for. I spoke about my move to Los Angeles in 2018, about the quiet ache of displacement that followed me through the years. How I was often met by discomfort, learning to steady myself while searching for softness in unfamiliar cities, foreign rooms, and shifting circumstances.

I found myself tracing the pattern of my life—how I rarely felt at home, how stability always seemed just out of reach. And yet, somehow, I learned to make it beautiful. Wherever I stood, I made something bloom in the in-between.

From one angle, this story may feel heavy with longing. From another, it may read as hope.
